STRONG SWIMMERS CONFIDENT KIDS This winter we’re launching a brand new swim lesson program at the Y. Our new child-centered curriculum will help your child swim confidently at his or her own pace. All classes will focus on water safety, having fun while learning, building character and increasing self-confidence. We’ll provide parents with helpful resources and weekly feedback to help you be an active participant in your child’s learning process. Please understand that with all change, there will be growing pains. We will be looking for your constructive feedback in how to better suit your family’s needs. A few differences in the program: 

Registration is easy: select your desired day and time, and register your child according to their age;



Lessons are scheduled more frequently so that time spent at the Y is more productive;



Instructors have more tools to communicate with participants and parents;



With younger swimmers our focus is on water safety: the actions to take if they were to fall into a pool of water;



With older swimmers our focus is on stroke development: how to build endurance and perfect technique.
