The Wildlife Connection: Past, Present and Future
Age Group: College and Adults o This program is not available for elementary, middle or high school students. Up to 120 participants (20 MIN - 120 MAX) o You may bring fewer than 20 but will be charged for a minimum of 20. Program time (excluding lunch): 1 ½ to 2 hours If you would like to reserve the Ecology Pavilion for your lunch that will extend your visit by at least 30 minutes, and will be scheduled at the end of your program.
Description: There is something for everyone at the Center for Wildlife Education. The Wildlife Connection: Past, Present and Future program is specifically designed for the older audience. Adult groups, organizations, clubs, church groups, etc., scheduling this program will be treated to an informative and interactive discussion, and animal interactions presented by the Center's director, Steve Hein, followed by an impressive flight show with our birds of prey in the Amphitheater. Discussions will focus on man's relationship with nature throughout the years, and the impact this relationship has on the future of wildlife and the natural world around us. There are two program options: Option A – 1 ½ hours to include an hour-long interactive lecture with wildlife and a 30-minute flight show. Option B – 2 hours to include an hour long interactive lecture with wildlife, a 30-minute walking tour of the Raptor Walkway followed by the 30-minute flight show. The cost of The Wildlife Connection: Past, Present and Future program is $5.00 per person. You may reserve the Ecology Pavilion for a picnic lunch at no extra costs. And if you would like to have your lunch catered by GSU Catering please contact them directly at 912-478-8681 to make those arrangements.
This program is not offered in June, July and August.
