Discover the unseen forces that influence every interaction you have with your kids. Seminar reveals the underlying reasons behind your children’s behavior and equips you with the tools to teach them how to build healthy and stable relationships for the rest of their lives. Topics include "What Determines How We Parent?" "The Early Years: Building the Brain for Relationships"; "The Avoider, Pleaser, Vacillator, and the Controller/ Victim Parent"; "Discovering your buttons and why you react to certain traits in your kids" and more. Apison Acorn Adventurer Club ~ is still accepting registrations from parents with children ages 4 - 9 (or 4th Grade). We meet every 3rd Sabbath afternoon from 2:30 - 5:30 pm and every other month we include a Sunday activity or Outreach Program. Women's Care and Share Prayer Breakfast ~coming upon Sunday, Sept 18 at 9am in the young adult room upstairs. Teen girls are also welcome. Breakfast will be provided! Homemade Pies / Bread ~ our LCA Students will be sharing homemade pies/bread and "Steps to Christ" near the school on Wednesday, Sept 21, and we need your help. Area Announcements Sunshine Bands ~ of music, ministry and friendship are welcome at The Lantern of Collegedale on the 2nd and 4th Sabbaths of each month at 3pm. Sacred Harp ~ shape note group will meet this afternoon, Sept 10, 3 – 5 pm for its monthly singing. Join us in the Seminar Room (upstairs) of the Collegedale Church to enjoy singing old style hymns acapella. Come to sing or just listen. No prior singing experience is required. Sabbath Trail Dedication ~ Southern Adventist University’s invites you to the Sabbath Trail dedication and opening of Fenton Forest today, Sept 10 at 5:30 pm. After a short ceremony, guests may enjoy a 1.5-mile walk through the Sabbath Trail, where you will see permanent plaques and stones containing biblical and historical insights. Area Announcements Continued Heaven's Bounty ~ The Southern Singles Ministry is operating Heaven’s Bounty, a food pantry in Apison, right in our back yard. The pantry serves 30-40 families each day that it is open. We are in need of volunteers in the following areas: • Putting food away in bins before the clients arrive. (3-4 hour blocks of time, weekly, monthly or whatever works for you) • Picking up food once a week at Food City. (About 2 hours once a week for loading and unloading at the center, any day Sunday –Friday) Southern Singles falls under the Church Ministries Department of the Conference.
