VanFossens To Send Barrels to Guyana in Nov ~ to support the area churches where they worked. A barrel will be on the front porch for donations of clothes and shoes (no holes; no winter coats), toys (none requiring batteries), towels, bedding (light weight), underwear, toiletries, feminine pads, cloth diapers, baby toiletries, school supplies (comp books, pencils, scissors, erasers, paper)(no 3 ring binders), Bibles, EGW and children’s books and Sabbath School craft supplies. LCA Veterans' Luncheon ~ if you are a Veteran or have friends who are Veterans, LCA School is planning a special Thanksgiving Luncheon Nov 8, 12 noon in the LCA Gym where we will honor Veterans. Church Treasurer Needed ~ and we are accepting resumes'. The position involves around 15 hrs per week and pays a modest hourly rate. Preferred candidates will have some experience in bookkeeping or other finance experience but not necessary; training will be provided. Urgent Project ~ 500 years of Reformation Signs of the Times (special edition) mailing to all of Apison zip code (1400 homes) to bring focus to Bible prophecy and spread the news of how monumental and beneficial the Protestant Reformation has been around the world even today. On this anniversary Oct, 31, 2017, the Roman Catholic church plans to present Pope Francis' plan for reconciliation of all churches. He said this plan is "diversity in unification." Community Thanksgiving Meal ~ the Apison Baptist Church invited us to join their annual Community Thanksgiving meal again this year on Sunday, November 19 at 5 pm.
