WEEKEND JANITOR AT SENIOR CITIZEN FACILITY (san rafael) Senior Retirement Community in San Rafael is seeking a Weekend Janitor to join our team. The right candidate for this Part-Time, 16 hours per week position must be available to work Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Previous Janitorial experience in a large commercial/residential complex required. Previous experience working with senior citizens a plus. Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, may include some holidays. Rate of Pay: $13.50 per hour. Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must meet health assessment required of CA Department of Public Health as well as TB testing and fingerprint clearances required by CA Department of Justice. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, sufficient to perform the tasks required. We are located in the North Bay - Marin County, City of San Rafael north of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. JOB DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: -Vacuum furniture, floors and drapes in public areas, offices, health center and other areas. -Carpet maintenance: shampooing, steam cleaning and vacuuming. -Floor maintenance: stripping, waxing, and buffing floors. -Elevator cleaning maintenance. -Steam cleaning of wheelchairs for Health care and residents. -Transport linen as needed for Health care and residents. -Setup and breakdown of furniture (chairs, tables etc.) as needed for special events. -Other duties as assigned by Manager. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of one to two years in carpet and floor maintenance.
