Revelation Intensive Week 17 – The Seventh Seal and the Trumpet Judgments

I.

The Seventh Seal - An increase in prayer to release judgment A. The seals, trumpets, and bowls increase in intensity. This is God’s plan to reach the greatest number of people, at the deepest heart level, using the least intense means necessary, without ever violating free will B. God gives everyone what they desire C. The seal judgments are Jesus letting mankind “taste” the fruit of the antichrist’s inadequate leadership D. The trumpet judgments are Jesus letting mankind taste the fruit of satans inadequate leadership E. The trumpets are ordered and numbered similarly to the seals and given to the Bride (the end time church) to understand. Each of the seals, trumpets, and bowls are grouped in a similar way: 1-4 go together, 5-6 go together, 7 stands alone i. Seals 1-4 go together (darkness on earth being dealt with by letting it finally bear fruit and experience judgment by being openly seen for what it is): ii. Seals 5-6 go together (heaven opening - spiritual realm touching earth): iii. Seal 7 stands alone (the eternal purpose of God coming through the open heaven):  Seal 7 - God adds angelic ministry to the night and day prayer movement (like Gabriel being sent to Daniel...only GLOBALLY!) to prepare for the trumpets!

1 Revelation 8:1-6 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake. 6 So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. F. The Seventh Seal stands alone from the rest. The first four seals were the antichrist’s campaign released by Jesus. The fifth seal (martyrdom empowering the prayer movement and backfiring on the antichrist) released the sixth seal. G. The seventh seal is primarily about the supernatural strengthening of the end-time prayer movement and what happens as a result H. God gave dominion of the earth to mankind (Gen 1:28). Therefore, men choose the measure of agreement they will give to God for their geography. 2 Ezekiel 22:29-31 The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger. 30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. 31 Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have 1|Page

The seventh seal is a picture of that: i. The angel is “given” incense to offer God. He offers God back what God has given. This is prayer: saying back to God things God tells us are in agreement with Him. ii. Angels and ALL the saints (alive and dead) both participate with God in what results in POWER or GLORY being thrown down to earth. Glory IS judgment to darkness:

3 Isaiah 6:5-7 So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts." 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged." iii.

David prophesied one generation would release the judgments written in scripture on all the nations through worship and prayer. This is because they are crying out for Jesus to come! iv. Desiring Jesus to come IS desiring glory. Glory, or the brightness of Jesus' physical presence, is judgment on darkness... the places that don’t want Jesus to come...just like a light bulb extinguishes darkness when it is turned on. v. The sober reality is that desiring Jesus' return is SYNONYMOUS with desiring Jesus' judgment to be released...they are two sides of the same coin. Jesus will only come in a measured way (7 seals, 7 trumpets, 7 bowls) because of His MERCY towards those resisting Him. The Book of Revelation describes Jesus' mercy, not hatred. vi. Desiring Jesus to return executes the written judgments that WILL happen. This is the honor of all saints: 4 Psalms 149:5-9 Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; 8 To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD! vii.

As the harvest is reaped, and the saints are purified in tribulation, becoming the pure and spotless bride, they will walk in unity and increasing victory over darkness as the Trumpet judgments are about to be released. The point of the judgments (seals, trumpets, and bowls) are to drive evil off of the planet to make way for Jesus to setup His governmental seat in Jerusalem, where it will be the worship center of the nations of the earth.

Revelation Intensive Week 17 – The Seventh Seal and the Trumpet Judgments 5 Revelation 21:23-27 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. ix.

This was prophesied to happen in response to night and day prayer by the Bride in agreement with God. 6 Isaiah 62:6-7 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, 7 And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. x. xi.

Watchmen = intercessors. This requires that the watchmen learn to LOVE God’s judgments. Jesus’ judgments ARE His love:

7 Psalms 119:160-164 The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. 161 Princes persecute me without a cause, But my heart stands in awe of Your word. 162 I rejoice at Your word As one who finds great treasure. 163 I hate and abhor lying, But I love Your law. 164 Seven times a day I praise You, Because of Your righteous judgments. xii.

THIS TAKES TIME. It will never get easier to get ready for the Great Tribulation than it is RIGHT NOW: 8 Matthew 13:43-46 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! 44 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. 45 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. II.

The Trumpet Judgments A. The events in the Seventh seal prepare the Bride to release, and the earth to receive the increased intensity of the Trumpet judgments. B. The Book of Revelation is a “canonized prayer manual” for the third transitional generation. We know the plan, the order, and the timing (i.e., 3 always comes after 2). C. The trumpet judgments are released by the Bride in partnership with God. They are very similar to the judgments released in Egypt on Pharaoh by God in partnership with Moses and Aaron :  Trumpet 1 (hail with fire) = plague 7 (hail with fire)  Trumpet 3 (rivers turn to blood) = plague 1 (Nile turns to blood)  Trumpet 4 (darkness) = plague 9 (darkness)  Trumpet 5 (demonic locusts) = plague 8 (natural locusts)  Trumpet 6 (widespread death) = plague 10 (widespread death)

The trumpets (reveal satan’s inadequate leadership) are more intense than the seals (which reveal the antichrists inadequate leadership), but are grouped similarly. i. First four touch the earth to destroy the resources of the antichrist empire by demonstrating that satan, the father of the antichrist, has no control over these elements unless given to him by God. ii. The next two open heaven and result in the release of demonic forces from hell to demonstrate the heart of satans kingdom towards mankind iii. The seventh trumpet (occurs after the next “angelic explanation” in Rev 11:15) is the rapture of the Bride to Jesus in the air (The purpose of God coming through the open heaven). E. The trumpet judgments have three main purposes: i. To RECONCILE people to God by revealing the truth regarding rebellion to His leadership ii. To hinder the antichrists activity by destroying his natural resources iii. To rally the saints to gather for prayer, for the saints WILL march into war with Jesus at the 7th (last) trumpet. Trumpets are a call to arms in the Bible (the Levites blew the trumpets) 9 Numbers 10:1-3 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 2 "Make two silver trumpets for yourself; you shall make them of hammered work; you shall use them for calling the congregation and for directing the movement of the camps. 3 When they blow both of them, all the congregation shall gather before you at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 10 Revelation 8:7-13 The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up. 8 Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. 9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. 10 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. 12 Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night. 13 And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!" F. Trumpet 1 (Rev. 8:7)– a supernatural event, with hail and fire and blood that burns up the green vegetation. i. 1/3 is significant. This is the antichrists-controlled domain. His resources (crops/food/fuel/building capacity) being destroyed. ii. There is a remnant, like Goshen, that is spared iii. Cities of refuge will be clearly demonstrated at this time

11 Exodus 8:22-24 And in that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the land. 23 I will make a difference between My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign shall be." ' " 24 And the LORD did so. Thick swarms of flies came into the house of Pharaoh, into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt. The land was corrupted because of the swarms of flies. G. Trumpet 2 (Rev. 8:8-9) – Seas struck with blood. Resources from water (food/minerals), and sea trade are affected. H. Trumpet 3 (Rev. 8:10-11) – Fresh water is contaminated and poisoned in the antichrist’s “camp” I. Trumpet 4 (Rev. 8:12-13) – diminishing light, heat, agriculture, navigation, etc. The first four trumpets decimate the antichrists empire. The 1/3 refers to where the light shines. It will not be dark in the cities of refuge: 12 Exodus 10:21-23 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, darkness which may even be felt." 22 So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days. 23 They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. J.

What is built on Jesus…the Bride…is built on a solid rock and stands/prospers through everything. This will strengthen the Bride’s resolve. K. What is built on human strength = global planned society, economy, and worship of man’s ability (the harlot and antichrist system) is built on sand and collapses when the storm comes. God will demonstrate that all of the resources satan is redistributing through the antichrist are REALLY GOD’s!! L. Vs. 8:13 is very telling. The next two trumpet blasts are releasing hell, but they are leading up to the MOST TERRIFYING trumpet blast for the antichrist system: the rapture of the church and the return of Jesus. Jesus will terrify everyone opposed to Him as He leads a hostile takeover of every government that opposes Him: 13 Psalms 110:5-6 The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. 6 He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries. M. Many in the Church right now are simply not equipped to reconcile that the Jesus of the Manger is also the same Jesus of Armageddon. III.

The Fifth and Sixth Trumpets – Hell Unleashed A. This is Jesus “lifting His hand of restraint” from what is in Satan’s heart. This is literal not figurative.

Satan has concealed his murderous hatred for the human race through history, but it will be manifest in the 5th and 6th trumpets. 14 John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. C. Satan has always traded power for loyalty, this is what swept away 1/3 of the angels (Ezekiel 28:15-16) D. The promise of the antichrist system is wealth, peace, and power for loyalty. This is a complete lie, similar to the promises made to the masses by Nazi German, Stalinist Russia, etc. When Jesus lifts His hand from the evil in man’s heart the tribulation seal judgments are released. As Jesus lifts His hand of restraint from the “father” of the antichrist…the true nature of the “god” of this world is exposed. E. As God gives satan liberty to relate to those who have chosen satan as their strength through the antichrist, satan will torment them. This is the mercy of God. Even this awful torment is less intense than eternity in hell. The release of these judgments are to redeem those in rebellion, so they can see the true nature of who it is they serve. 15 Revelation 9:1-12 Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. 6 In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them. 7 The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. 8 They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth. 9 And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle. 10 They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months. 11 And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon. 12 One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things. F. Trumpet 5 - The bottomless pit is a temporary prison for fallen angels (Genesis 6:2) that will be released at the end times. 16 Jude 1:6 And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; G. The Bride (and Jewish remnant) has a divine seal (Rev. 7) that protects her from the demonic locusts…just like in the land of Goshen at the time of the Exodus

Just like in the story of Job (Job 2:4-7) God is the one giving authority. God, in His mercy, limits the authority of the demons to only torment, not to kill. Many try to interpret these passages as less-intense than they are stated here (i.e., helicopters instead of locusts). This kind of specific information requires a face-value interpretation (Revelation 9:7-11). This is very specific information, even rank and names of the demonic locusts.

17 Revelation 9:13-21 Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." 15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths. 19 For their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm. 20 But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. 21 And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts. H. Trumpet 6 - This is God’s wakeup call to all unbelievers. The release of the demonic army of horsemen. They will literally kill 1/3 of the earth’s population. I. This is GOD’s MERCY : the next trumpet is the rapture of the Church. This is the last chance for those in rebellion to be spared the final wrath of God, the seven bowl judgments. J. Read vs. 13 - Golden altar refers to the judgment being released from the prayer movement. This is the same altar as at the beginning of the release of the trumpet judgments. K. Our love for mankind, will be Jesus’ love for mankind. Knowing Jesus is minutes away we will cry out for the judgment that will turn hearts to God in the last minutes of possible salvation before the wrath of God is poured out on the earth. 18 2 Peter 2:1-10 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. 4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; 7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his 7|Page

Revelation Intensive Week 17 – The Seventh Seal and the Trumpet Judgments righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)— 9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, o o o o o

The angels that lead this demonic army are bound until the day they are released by God. (also Jude 6:1) A third of mankind is killed. 4 billion people (approx) will die in the 3.5 years of the great tribulation. …on average this is 3 million people per day. This is intense. vs. 9:20. Mankind still did not Repent. vs. 9:21 – This will be the most demonized time in history. This verse describes the demonic strongholds present across the earth: murder, sorcery, immorality, and theft. It is important to note that the authority of Jesus' name over demons has not/will not change. The Church has an important role to play in this time.

19 Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. 20 Matthew 16:18-19 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." o o

This is literally the time Jesus was referring to, when the gates of hell would actually be opened. As increasing awareness of Jesus’ plan unfolds, many are unprepared for THIS Jesus. This is a significant part of satan's battle plan, to blindside the Church with offense so she will be distracted from her awesome calling in this generation. Since the 1830s, what has grown to be a majority in the Western Church have been expecting to be raptured before all these events take place, or taught to believe these events are symbolic. Offense is what will primarily cause the “great falling away,” but it is also what will keep many from walking in the fullness of their calling in this transitional generation:

21 1 Peter 2:7-9 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, "THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED HAS BECOME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE," 8 and "A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE." They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
