Understanding an Important Ballot Race You May Think of Skipping – Please Vote Instead & Share This Info 38th Assembly District Central Committee Candidates http://www.smartvoter.org/2012/06/05/ca/la/race/1994/index.html Basically 38th is Santa Clarita Valley, San Fernando Valley above Devonshire, and Simi Valley This is an interesting year for this important position that most have never heard of. It is a “power play” as I see it, which is why I’m making the extraordinary effort to give you this info so you can be part of the solution. You can cast your ballot for independent Republican power diffusion with the “conservative” slate or for consolidating power and influence in an ever smaller group with the candidates you will see supported by (and many working for) the McKeons. Congressman McKeon is doing a fine job in D.C.; however, should he also have so much influence locally and also, possibly in the state Assembly if his charming wife should happen to be elected? Would that be wise of the voting public?
To slow down the “power play” that is going on, 6-7 votes of the possible 11 need to come from independent thinkers, as opposed to paid staff of legislators and those beholden to them. Please share this info widely! REPUBLICAN CENTRAL COMMITTEE elections in California. These are GOOD principles to follow, whenever possible:
1-DO NOT VOTE for any married couples for a committee such as this that needs Republican input from a much broader group; 2-DO NOT VOTE for anyone paid by a legislator in their day job; each legislator is allowed to appoint a CC member/representative 3-DO NOT VOTE for people who are beholden to elected officials; we want a wide range of strong independent Republican thinkers 4-DO NOT VOTE for people whom legislators can appoint if they want them to serve, but most Republicans would choose differently.
