GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS & INFORMATION 1) Candidates, who wish to apply for more than one post/cadre, need to apply separately for each post/cadre in the prescribed form along with all the supporting documents. If candidate applies for more posts (department/cadre) in one application, his/her form will be summarily rejected.

2) The application form will not be supplied on postal request. The candidates are advised to download the same from our website. The duly completed application form along with the enclosures to be sent by speed/registered post to The Registrar, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, South Ambazari Road, Nagpur-440010, Maharashtra, India. No soft copy through email will be accepted from candidate working in India.

3) No additional document(s)/certificate(s) will be accepted after submission of the application form.

4) Applicants who are currently working abroad can submit a scanned copy of filled in application to email: [email protected]; however they also need to send the hard copy by the courier, non receipt of

8) No interview call letters/mail will be sent to individual candidate. The list of short listed candidates will be displayed on the Institute website. Candidates are advised to visit the VNIT website www.vnit.ac.in regularly.

9) Any applications which are not in prescribed form / without relevant supporting enclosures may be outrightly rejected. No correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.

10) Institute will not be responsible under any circumstances for any sort of postal delay/loss. 11) Persons serving in Govt. / Semi Govt. / PSUs / Universities / Educational Institutions should send their applications either THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL or should furnish a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the competent authority at the time of interview. They can, however, send advance copy of application form.

12) The shortlisted candidates will also be required to deliver a lecture in the department on core (UG) subject using black/white board in addition to the personal interview.

13) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview process. 14) For SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates, the application form should be with a copy of the

15) The persons with disability (PWD) shall be required to produce medical certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent medical authorities for the purpose of employment. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the disability shall only be eligible for the benefit of reservation, if any, and other relaxations as permissible under the rules.

16) Reservation policy for faculty positions at entry level will be applicable as per the directives of the Department of Higher & Technical Education, Ministry of the HRD, Government of India.

22) The candidates, who have applied earlier, in response to the previous Recruitment Notice No. VNIT/Faculty-Recruitment/2017/01 in the month of July 2017 need to apply a fresh as per new format. The old applications will not be considered.

23) Direct appointment beyond the age of 60 years is discouraged, except in the case of faculty with exceptionally brilliant research career and with ongoing or approved externally funded research project.

24) The Institute shall retain complete applications for non-shortlisted candidates only for three months. 25) No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding reason for not being called for interview/outcome of interview.

26) The candidate is responsible for the correctness and authenticity of the information provided in the application. If it is found at a later date that any information given in the application is incorrect/false, the candidature/appointment / service is liable to be cancelled/ terminated.
