Comprised 10 seminar sessions with video viewings, and watching and discussing selected productions. • Module Co-ordinator and Tutor for ‘Asian Theatre’ (3rd Year Undergraduates), an optional module for 3rd year undergraduate students of Theatre. Included 10 sessions of illustrated lectures, demonstrations and workshops. • Practical Tutor for ‘Theatre Practice’ (1st Year Undergraduates), included leading sessions on performance practice, workshops and creating a workshop piece from the impulse of George Orwell’s Animal Farm. • Seminar leader for ‘Introduction to Theatre Studies’ (1st Year Undergraduates) included leading hour long tutorial / discussion sessions with small groups of students to bolster the main lectures. Also included guiding them on preparing for and writing papers and examinations.

Intercultural Performance: Context, Fusion and Confusion An interactive seminar-cum-demonstration-cum-workshop on the phenomenon of Intercultural Performance concentrating on voicing and discussing views about this genre, examining questions of mis/understanding, mis/representation, authenticity and socio-cultural politics. Sessions have been presented for Edge Hill College, Ormskirk and University of Plymouth The Invisible Pulse: Rhythm and Tempo / Syllables and Silence This workshop unravels the intricate Tala (rhythm) system of Indian (mainly Hindustani) classical music and dance. Sessions have been conducted for the Aberystwyth Arts Centre; Centre for Performance Research, Aberystwyth; International Student Drama Festival, Sheffield; as part of workshops at Canterbury University and National Theatre Studio, London. Walking Tall Workshops for dancers, actors and movement artists focussing on the body awareness, isolation work, and the relationship of body, space and movement connected by underlying rhythms.
