Description: In the satiric and funny sequel to the witty Vampire High, Cody's hopes for a great sophomore year at Vlad Dracul are dashed when his train wreck of a cousin, Turk Stone, moves in and messes with his life. Turk's a brilliant teen artist and goth with a sky-high ego . Her attitude infuriates the vampire (jenti) students, especially the dark, brooding Gregor. But something changes in Turk when she stumbles on the abandoned nineteenth-century mill in the forgotten district of Crossfield and immediately claims it as her new arts center project. Though Cody resents his cousin at first, he has his own reasons for helping make Turk's dream come true. But Crossfield has many secrets, and a mysterious vampire army called the Mercians will do anything to make sure they stay hidden. And when he takes on the Mercians, everything Cody has learned about courage and determination his freshman year at Vampire High will be tested.

About Author:

I was born on October 19th, 1947 in the hospital at March Air Force Base just outside Riverside, California. My father, Norman, was a career sergeant who'd served as an aircraft mechanic and infantryman in the Philippines campaign early in the war and was taken prisoner on Bataan. My mother, Agnes, was a nurse at the hospital where he was sent to recuperate after the war was over.

Until I was fifteen, I lived on or near a number of Air Force bases in this country and in Germany. My sister, Patricia, was born in 1950 at Travis AFB. Until I was six, I wanted to be a fireman. Between six and twelve, I wanted to be a paleontologist. When I was twelve, I decided I wanted to be a writer. I still haven't outgrown that. I made some occasional stabs at writing and submitting manuscripts in my twenties and thirties. When I turned forty-seven, I decided to start writing things more regularly. I've been doing so ever since.

Rated it: really liked it Shelves: read-in-2015, young-adult, vampire, romance, high-school This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. My personal thoughts on this book was that I liked it a little less than the first one which had me laughing in stitches more then once. Of course it's been about five? Years since I have read the first and now the second so that may be why. The end was the best part but isn't it always? The conclusion especially if it is perfect. I knew what was coming between Turk and Gregor and my bsdfbsjfbs I ship them real good! I was surprised / shocked at Cody kissing someone else, or someone else kissing My personal thoughts on this book was that I liked it a little less than the first one which had me laughing in stitches more then once. Of course it's been about five? Years since I have read the first and now the second so that may be why. The end was the best part but isn't it always? The conclusion especially if it is perfect. I knew what was coming between Turk and Gregor and my bsdfbsjfbs I ship them real good! I was surprised / shocked at Cody kissing someone else, or someone else kissing him and for a moment I thought he and Ileana might just be the end, but in the end, all's well that ends well. I love Turk and Gregor together, they're perfect for each other! I think Pestilence and Justin will end up together and Cody and Ileana, while due to what happened have planted my doubts, their still an awesome couple. I simply love and adore Dracula! He reminds me of an old kid. Like he's so old, he can be a silly old man and just do shit like give away a few million dollars. Love him the best I think. Justin's actions and Ileana's were pretty shit and I personally would not have forgiven them but hey then it would end badly so. Cody's a smashing upright kinda guy. The only real thing I can say of true like 'reviewers actual critique' is Rees's use of 'he said / she said / Cody said / Dracula said' you know? I think that was a little... like grade school like? But in any case it's not the end of the world and I think it just fits. Either it's simply the mans' style or he could manipulate his style into making it sound like a real teenage boy's. Which props to him if that's the case. And yeah, that's basically it. Oh and Turk was / is annoying as hell but when she teases Gregor, totally cute! I think it was more focused on the other characters this time around then Cody, Ileana and Justin per say which I loved as well. I definitely hope to see more Vampire High in the future! 1 like
