Parent Share & Support (PSAS) offers support, education, and resources to parents, caregivers, and children, at no cost, through the following programs:

Parent Education 



Parents As Teachers: an internationally acclaimed early childhood program for parents of children prenatal to age five. Parents receive information on their child’s development, parenting tips, and fun ideas for parent-child interaction. Nurturing Skills for Families: program that was developed for children up to age 12 that helps build self-worth through appropriate expectations of children’s growth and development. The Nurturing Program also empowers adults and children through the development of their own personal power.

Group Programs Both Group Programs are open to the community. Contact your local center for dates.  FLT (Family Learning Time): Parent-child interaction and educational activities with the opportunity to connect and share with other families in the community.  DAD (Dedicated As Dads): Educational activities that focus on the importance of fatherhood.

Child Passenger Safety PSAS has certified technicians on staff at each Center to answer questions on proper installation and use of car seats. Staff can assist you with installation and education. Drop in or give us a call to schedule an appointment.

Additional Services Clothes Closet: Parents are able to obtain clothing and items for their children on an “exchange” system. Draw the Line/Respect the Line: Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention in the Fayette County schools. Resource Network: Information and contacts for other family services in Fayette County.
