UHSA - Grades - 9th ,10th , & 11th Fall Scheduling and EDP (Educational Development Plan) Access UHSA report cards were mailed Friday. Parents of students in grades 9 thru 11 received an additional letter with Career Cruising access codes. This access will allow parents to review fall 2014 schedule requests, EDPs, and College Readiness Series assignments/documents. We don’t have a timeline for scheduling yet. However, when we start scheduling, this online access will be necessary. UPREP parents will receive their access codes during the week of 12/16, along with report cards. UHSA – Grades 10th and 11th Princeton Review ACT Prep class at the “U” Princeton Review is planning to offer an 18hour ACT prep evening class. If we have enough students registered, the class will be held right at UHSA. We could not negotiate last year’s $299 rate (sorry). UHSA – Grade 11th Parent College Night Meeting Information and Practice ACT If you missed the 2015 Parent College meeting last week please links Parent Night College Facts link and Junior Parent College Powerpoint link. These documents are also on the counseling website’s College Readiness page. All juniors will take a full length practice ACT on 12/19 from 8:25 until the beginning of second lunch. OTECH students will be excused from OTECH in order to take the test. UPREP/UHSA – ALL GRADES – MiStar Direct Parent Email Communication System MiStar (formerly Zangle) now has a feature that allows teachers to email parents directly from the gradebook. For example, if 5 students did not complete a major project, the teacher can click the names of the students and send an email immediately to alert parents. Directions - Parents will login to their MiStar account at https://mistar.oakland.k12.mi.us/southfield/parentportal/. Click My Account. Enter your current password, then enter or update your email and click Submit. If you have not logged into MiStar all year, cannot locate your pin, email Mrs. Carla Williams for your pin and password at
[email protected] . The student feature is not enabled yet. Therefore, if you have been logging in as your student, you will now need your own login.
