VOLUNTEER TRAINING – SPRING 2017 KARA PEER SUPPORT BEREAVEMENT SERVICES Volunteers are needed to provide compassionate grief support to children, teens, and adults anticipating a death or grieving the death of a family member or close friend. Individuals with experience of suicide loss, sibling loss, diverse backgrounds, Bilingual speakers*, and men are especially needed. Volunteers are required to:  commit to at least one year as a volunteer  attend ONE informational meeting and ALL of the training dates  attend regular In-Service Trainings throughout the year Informational Meetings (One Required) The following Informational Meetings (at the Kara offices located at 457 Kingsley Avenue, Palo Alto) will provide details about Kara programs and the training: o Wednesday, January 11th from 7:00 – 8:30 PM o Tuesday, January 17th from 7:00 – 8:30 PM.
