Towards More Resilient Communities 3rd UC Lifeline Week Rome: 20, 21, 22 April 2015 | L’Aquila: 23 April 2015 | Naples: 24 April 2015

Resilient Infrastructures for Resilient Cities & Communities In a series of lectures, workshops and open discussions the contributors from New Zealand, Europe and United States will share the experiences and learning of their organisations in fostering the resilience of infrastructures towards the resilience of their cities and communities.

The contributors from New Zealand will take you through both the phases and activities and the learning of their organisations as they collectively engaged in enabling a resilient and thriving revival of greater Christchurch following the earthquake sequence that struck the area during 2010 and 2011.

The event aims to foster worldwide connections and cooperation among academics, researchers, asset managers and stakeholders working in the space of resilient infrastructures, to join and synergise efforts and experiencing towards the identification of best practices and strategies.

Key Topics • Physical shocks - Social, Economic and Environmental impacts • Resilient Systems • Governance and Leadership • Strategy • Information and Data Management • Delivery • Research and Development • Community resilience • Communication and community engagement Organised by Dr Sonia Giovinazzi, University of Canterbury [email protected] and Prof Paolo Franchin, Sapienza University of Rome [email protected] Graphic design by Marney Brosnan [email protected]
