3 DAYS DESERT TRIP FROM MARRAKESH BACK TO MARRAKESH SEE THIS TOUR ON THE MAP • 1st day: departure from Marrakesh heading to the high Atlas mountains where you will enjoy spectacular views. Before that, the drive takes you along traditional Berber villages and a massive valley of olive trees then hit the mountains with stops to admire the amazing landscapes. We will cross the mountains at the famous pass called TiziN-Tishka at 2260 m height. After the pass, we start driving down towards the main stop which is a must for every travellers, it is Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou; a site declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and the place where famous movies took place such as Lawrence of Arabia, the Gladiator, Jesus of Nazarit, the Jewel of the Nile... 30 Kilometers far from this site, lies the city of Ouarzazate which is considered as the film center of Morocco or Hollywood of Africa. Ouarzazate boasts some historical monuments like Kasbah Taourirt, a former residence of Pasha El Glaoui in the 19th C. Leaving Ouarzazate, we get to a laid back town called Skoura which has a large oasis of date palm trees and the oasis itself is dotted with a lot of Kasbahs .Then get to the town of roses called El Qalaa Mgouna and Dades valley where the day ends. • 2nd day: After a well-deserved rest at the hotel, we start the day again driving from Dades valley to the town of Tinghir from which we take a turn-off to drive along another beautiful and lush valley to get to the famous gorges called Todra gorges popular for rock-climbing. People who are interested in hiking can do an hour hike in this beautiful valley. After the gorges, we head further South-East driving through many villages and little town like Tinjdad where you will visit an interesting museum which explains and shows life-style of people in the oases then to Erfoud which is known for fossil-works and Rissani which is known for its local authentic market then to the amazing Sahara desert called Erg Chebbi. Once we arrive at the hotel, you can have a break to prepare yourself for the desert experience; you will ride the camels heading to the campsite set in the middle of the sand dunes; on your way, you will have the chance to watch sunset. Tonight is the highlight of your trip; it is the best place to watch stars and shooting-stars. Next morning the camel-man will wake you

up to watch sunrise then get ready to ride back to the hotel where you will have shower then start the day again. • 3rd day: After the desert experience, we will head back to Ouarzazate via a different route passing by many Berber villages along the way and the stony desert called Hamada. On half way, the road will take you along another large valley called Draa valley along the Draa river and the town of Agdez then traverse another part of the Atlas mountains called Anti-Atlas where you will see spectacular rock-formation as well as some canyons then get to Ouarzazate from where we will continue our drive back to Marrakesh on the same road we took the first day.
