• Administration Notes! • 2014-2015 school budget upcoming in May! • new K-1 classroom, where current lower school computer lab is located! • possible combination of positions, into one more substantial position: Phys Ed + recess support + Aftercare! Proposed calendar: Middle and High School may have earlier start date (Thurs, • 8/28) than PPS calendar! • Feedback from teachers: need more planning hours during the school year, and not as many before school starts. Therefore, the Trillium administration proposes to move two planning days from late August into the school year, and compensate for those instructional hours by starting classes two days earlier. ! • First day = orientation for 6th and 9th grades only (i.e., students transitioning into middle and high school). ! • High School Senior Project Fair coming 5/16/14! • Policy work: ! • staff handbook! • board policies! • Coffee Klatch 4/25/14 - planned agenda: discuss fundraising!

• Senior Project Night! • Reggie Bliss made awesome flyer; post copies around school and community! • Senior Project Night: Friday, May 16! • Volunteers needed:! • May 7, 8, 9 — Project Review Committees: Kieran looking for help from community members; during the day; practice run and feedback before project night. ! • Informational table: answer questions about where and when the projects are! • Purchase healthy snacks for during the day; bring in potluck meal at end of day! • Other high school students encouraged to help as well!

• Development Director’s Report! • Runaissance: ! • 5/9 Tie-dye party; t-shirts that students bring in! • 5/16 Runaissance itself! • straight donations only, rather than per lap! • revenue goal = $8K; restricted funds to support arts! Projected revenue for this current year wasn’t realistic, so Lisa requested a • projected revenue decrease for current school year 2013-2014 from TCS Board! • Plan for 2014-2015:! • Harvest Fest + small auction (prob mostly Trillium families); $25,000 budgeted! • Increase number of sustaining members; $30,000 budgeted! • End-of-year appeal: in Nov, Dec (end of tax year for most people) natural time for donations; $7,500 budgeted! • Trillium in Bloom breakfast, spring of 2015; invite people who have been on tours, and get other community members; $10,000 budgeted ! • Runaissance: $8,000 budgeted ! • Grant applications: will continue to submit applications, but $0 budgeted! • Three events may be a lot to organize and get volunteers: Harvest Fest auction; Trillium in Bloom breakfast; year-end ask! • Messaging? Folks have difficulty explaining Trillium to others! • “Educating compassionate, creative, critical thinkers” was used as a tagline for parts of 2013.! • Need to work on an “elevator speech”! • Communicate goals, especially graphically: thermometer or progress bar! • Input from a grant committee, on grant Trillium didn’t receive: get in-kind support + financial support from parents! • TFT budget - strategy from Lisa on computer mobile lab, science lab, ! • accessibility of playground is an issue to consider; might be funds available for making the playground more accessible! • Prior process of playground development—kids brainstorming, voting — pretty awesome; might be appreciated by others outside Trillium community!

• TFT Grants! • $300.50 - Debra Lazzerati & Christina Aucutt - Four x 4-foot shelves for lobby, to display 3D student work.! • $300 seems expensive for four shelves ! $360.00 - Heidi Nelms, lower school music teacher - cost for replicating music CDs • for lower school, plus jewel cases: $360.00! • For next year, look into soft-copy options as well; maybe only print hard copy for those who request it. Also, some families have more than one child in lower school, and only need multiple copies.! • Motion to approve both grant requests; seconded. Vote: 6 yays, 3 abstaining. Motion passed.!

• Fundraising! • Scrip continues. Some Powell’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods on hand, as well as Fred Meyers and New Seasons. ! • Summer scrip pre-orders coming soon ! • Debra suggested having some scrip cards on-hand in the main office during the summer; one day per week, make available for sale! • Fred Meyer Community Rewards program: Linda submitted info, but treasurer has not heard; will follow up.!

• Volunteer Needs ! • Middle school camp-out needs volunteers: both drivers and chaperones! • Senior Project Night! • Tie-dye party for Runaissance shirts! • Runaissance day itself!

TFT meeting: elections + dessert potluck ! • 6/09! 6/17! Last day of school; release at noon! • • Popsicle Social: on playground after students are released! • Staff Appreciation Night: location and back-up location!
