DATES TO REMEMBER MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL Dear Richmond Community, Welcome to another Tidings. The school has been progressing well although there have been many cases of sickness both with students and staff. With the cooler weather, we need to keep on top of our health. A big thank you to all those who were involved in the soccer gala day on Thursday; I hear it was a great day. With regard to our staff, Glenn Choake has decided to step down from his position as Primary Coordinator and will take up the full-time position of Year 6 teacher. Consequently, whilst we are going through the processes of advertising and appointing a new Head of Primary, Sam West will be the Acting Coordinator of Infants (Pre-K - Yr 2) and Penny Woolley the Acting Coordinator of Primary (Yr 3-6). If you have anything you would like to talk about with regards to Infants or Primary, please continue to follow the usual school procedures to contact Mr. West or Mrs. Woolley. We wish Glenn, Sam and Penny all the best in their new positions and pray that God will bless them with abundant wisdom. We are not sure when the Head of the Primary position will be finalised, but rest assured we will inform you as soon as we know. Have a relaxing weekend and enjoy our community.
Blessings,
Garry Binks

SOCCER GALA DAY @ TWEED
SOCCER GALA DAY @ TWEED On Thursday, 46 keen Richmond students travelled to Tweed Heads to take part in the CSSA Soccer Gala day.
Richmond 15 & under boys played an excellent opening game against the host school, winning 2-1. They went on to lose their next 2 games to qualify for the plate semi final, which they lost 1-0. The boys played hard during all 4 games, and they certainly developed in their skill and game awareness as they day progressed.
The two High School girls teams had a fantastic day. The Open Girls team came second in their pool and unfortunately lost their major semi.
