DATES TO REMEMBER MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL Hello and welcome to Week 2 of Term 2. This past week has been 'school as usual' with no special events. NAPLAN preparation is continuing with the tests being held over next week for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. Each test will take up the morning session on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Next week an important event is the Year 7 Information Night on Wednesday. This evening is to provide information for Year 6 students and their parents who are thinking of coming to Richmond next year. On the evening you will hear about the structure of our Year 7 class and the differences you can expect. It is also a time to ask questions of our Secondary teachers to see how High School varies from Primary. I encourage all Year 6 parents and students to attend. Nothing much has happened with the building of the new classrooms yet as the ground is too wet to bring in fill. We look forward to these buildings being operational to release the current pressure we have on our existing classrooms. It was good to see some parents at the school's AGM this week where they were able to listen to our plans for the future.
Have a great week and I will hopefully see you around the school.
Blessings Garry

May in Japan In the holidays May Kennedy visited Oguni Primary School in Niigata, Japan, a school that we are developing a 'sister school' relationship with. She was able to present to the Japanese school a package from us containing our school magazine from 2017 and a slide show about the beautiful area in which we live. May reported that she was very warmly welcomed and that it was wonderful to be able to meet friends she has made before on previous trips. We thank May and her mother Ako Kennedy for representing our school in Japan.
