https://sites.google.com/site/msmarquardtsthirdgrade/ Curriculum Math: This week we worked on elapsed time. Next week we will continue working on elapsed time and begin fractions. We will have our next timed multiplication test on Thurs., Mar. 9. It will be on the 9 facts. We will also have a test on Chap. 7 (time) on Thursday, March 9.

Reading: This week students worked on sequencing events and identifying the author’s message. Next week we will read Bat Loves the Night and will work more on sequencing events and author’s message. We will have the comprehension and vocabulary test on Friday, Mar. 10. Language Arts: This week we worked on writing opinion papers. Next week we will continue to work on editing and revising our papers and writing the final copies. Science: This week students learned about weather and what to do during severe weather. Next week we will learn about how clouds are formed and different types of clouds.

Mar. 24 – Apr. 2 – Spring Break Re-enrollment for the 2017-18 school year begins! Forms have been sent home to each family. Additional forms, including Pre-K3, are available online and in the school office. The Annual St. Emily Talent Show is coming! Let's showcase those Eagle talents! Start planning and practicing your solo or group performance!

Religion: This week students took their test on chapter 7. Next week we will talk about Lent. Social Studies (Ms. Peterson): This week, students identified ways that ancient civilizations influence life today. Next week, students will review the material introduced throughout the past several weeks. There will be a Chapter 5 Test on Friday, March 10. Spelling: You may practice Lesson 22 words by visiting www.spellingcity.com. The lesson 22 test will be on Friday, Mar. 10.

Box Top Competition The Box Top Competition is under way! Please send in those box tops. The competition will end on March 10.
