You do not need to identify a group, but you need to add a class and add students.

Bring in the PMT (about the 8th-10th week of using a new textbook) as whole group or as assigned homework, this allows Newton to capture data before you start modifying. Student Scores – green mastered, red not mastered Newton - can use RTI in an adaptive way – after it collects data PMT assigns different assignments that your print materials

Creating your own assignments completely from scratch (does not have anything to do with the adaptive workflow) it’s about creating your own questions.

Create a PMT using the Standards tab – (Strand – TEKS – Expectations) This is where you can get materials from other grade levels if they have not mastered these skills yet.
