Ness creek music Festival Vendor Guidelines (The Village for Ecological and Social Justice)

Thank you for your interest in being a Ness Creek Vendor! Please note that The Village for Ecological and Social Justice was formerly known as The Village and The World Market. Application deadline March 31st Successful applicants will be contacted by April 30th

Fees: For Profit: $250 + GST ($262.50) Not-For-Profit: $125 + GST ($131.25), includes • 1 Ness Creek Music Festival weekend pass • 1 parking pass, rustic camping included • Program listing • Covered exhibitor space (eco-village only) • Limited space for self-contained units • Additional day or weekend passes must be purchased to accommodate extra attendants/workers Fee is required within 10 days of application. Your application will not be considered if paym ent is not received during this tim e fram e. If not accepted, your fee will be refunded. No refunds for any cancellations after May 1st. Vendors unable to fulfill their contract forfeit any claim to refund. Not-for-profit organizations may be eligible to receive 50% discount on vendor fees, pending approval.

Hours of Operation: Thursday Noon to 6pm (optional) Friday Noon to 6pm Saturday Noon to 6pm Sunday Noon to 3:00pm (optional) Booths may not be left unattended during operating hours. Unattended booths may be taken down. Vendors are expected to remain open during operating hours; if for some reason you must close during this time, please clear it with the Vendor Coordinator in your area. Operating hours are subject to change.

Security: Overnight security is NOT provided. You are responsible for the security of all property in your care. The Ness Creek Cultural and Recreational Society is not responsible for any items lost, stolen or damaged at the Festival, including damage caused by weather.

Arrival: W ednesday Noon to 10pm Vendors are encouraged to arrive on Wednesday. Gates open to the public at noon Thursday. Expect entrance lineups if not arriving early. No entry to festival grounds between 10pm Wednesday and noon Thursday. Please m ake contact with your respective coordinator upon arrival at the front gate and before com m encing set up.

The Village Ethic: Please note that all vendors in The Village for Ecological and Social Justice must be environmentally and/or socially responsible. Vendors will be required to demonstrate how they fit into the "Ecological and Social Justice" realm in their application and will be required to display this statement during the festival. Please consider if you are the right fit for The Village before applying.

Set Up: Thursday/Friday 9am to Noon Your Vendor Coordinator will assign your booth location. Please make contact with your respective coordinator upon arrival at the front gate and before commencing set up. You are responsible for providing your own table, no more than 8 feet (8') in length and 2 feet (2') in width, and your own chairs (no more than 4 in total). Electricity, heating and lighting are NOT provided. Driving vehicles on site after initial set-up is prohibited, however parking for vendors is nearby. (*Limited number of table and chair rentals may be available upon request; please note this in your application as coordinators must have advance notice to facilitate any requests)

Tear Down: Sunday 3-7pm Please leave your booth space clean and clear. Your feedback is important to us! Please take time to complete our vendor satisfaction survey so that we can make the vending experience at the Ness Creek Music Festival the best that it can be.

Volunteer Appreciation Prizes: The magic of the Ness Creek Music Festival is maintained by the hundreds of volunteers who donate their time to make it happen. Each year we ask for your support to help maintain the magic by celebrating the contributions made by our outstanding volunteers. Any prize donation (gift certificate, product) you are able to make for our Volunteer Appreciation Party Sunday night is truly appreciated. Prizes can be given to your Vendor Coordinator or to the Volunteer Services Coordinator at the Volunteer tent adjacent to the Artisan Market. Donors will be publicly thanked at our Volunteer Appreciation Party and their generosity recognized in our social media.

A note about Cultural appropriation: Ness Creek Cultural & Recreational Society requires that vendors refrain from selling headdresses or other accessories that imitate/appropriate First Nations culture without cultural right or permission.

We reserve the right to refuse any application. NO pets or glass beverage containers allowed on the site.
