But what are dragon lines? Dragon lines are alignments of a number of places of geographical interest, alignments of places of significance in the geography or culture of an area, often including man-made structures. Not only sacral, but also business, governmental, and military buildings stand upon them. Dragon lines are sources of power or energy, they strengthen the capabilities and deepen weaknesses of those around them. On Christian soil, dragon lines are symbolized by Archangel Michael, Saint George, Saint Mary and Saint Nicolas, and are named after them.

Since the beginning of the city of Ljubljana people felt good and energized strolling around the city, around the city that stands on the dragon line crossroads. So take a short stroll along Saint Nicolas dragon line toward Dragon temple, learn about a few significant buildings and the area along the way, and fill yourselves with energy needed for the challenges ahead of you. Your walk begins in Hostel Celica. It is housed in the renovated building of a former prison. Metelkova was a military barracks commissioned by the Austro-Hungarian army in 1882. The space consists of seven buildings and 12,500m2 - making it a sort of city within a city. In 1991, following the War of Slovene independence and after years of further battles with the authorities, Metelkova Mesto (Metelkova City) gained its rightful place in Ljubljana's cultural landscape in 2008 and became the leading center of underground music and art in the region.

2. THE MUSEUM QUARTER OF LJUBLJANA

When you leave Hostel Celica, go to the road on the right and make a left. You will pass the health center and within a few steps a brick church will come to view. Before you reach the church, you can explore the Museum Quarter of Ljubljana (on your left), which includes buildings of The National Museum, Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, The Museum of Contemporary Art, The Slovenian Cinemateque and the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.

3. CHURCH OF THE SACRED HEART In 1855 Emperor Franz Joseph I. permit the introduction of Lazarists throughout the Monarchy and The Church of the Sacred Heart was commissioned by Lazarists, who came to Ljubljana in 1879.

It is the only church in Ljubljana built in the Gothic style. When the church was completed, Emperor Franz Joseph I., while passing through Ljubljana, took the opportunity to see the new Gothic church built in honor of the imperial dynasty. THE FALCON HALL Falcon Hall was one of the first major indoor sports facilities in Slovenia and produced many Olympians and Slovenian athletes of international importance. The area where

Now continue down the road to the left and turn into the first alley on your right. You should be on Prisojna Street and approaching … 5. THE LJUBLJANA UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTRE It is one of the largest hospital centres in the Central Europe. It is also the place where former Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito died in 1980. One of many Ljubljana University Medical Centre's departments is the maternity hospital, one of the biggest maternity hospitals in Western Europe and where more than one third of all Slovenian children are born.

Continue your walk down the Bohoričeva street and you will pass the Pediatric clinic. Turn into the second street on you right – Potrčeva Street. Go straight down the street and don't stop, eventually you'll reach an underpass. Pass under it and continue forward until you reach the second underpass. When you reach it, you will be in the Green Cave quarter of Ljubljana.

6. THE GREEN CAVE The development of the Zelena jama (The Green Cave) dates back to the postearthquake period of Ljubljana (1895-1910). That period was marked by increasing migration of people from rural to urban areas due to the increased labor supply. The builders of the houses were railway workers and due to the glue factory and later chemical and food factory Kolinska, Zelena jama acquired a distinct industrial character. In a few decades, the settlement became a tightly integrated suburban community, which was characterized by the social unity of the population.
