THE RUBBER BOARD (Government of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry) ADVERTISEMENT.NO. 3 /2009 Applications are invited for the following posts in the Rubber Board. 1) Asst. Engineer (Electrical) - Scale of pay: Rs.9300-34800 (PB2) with Grade Pay Rs.4200/-. No.of vacancies: 1 (unreserved). Qualifications: Essential:-1) A degree in Electrical Engineering. 2) Three years experience in the grade of Rs.5500-9000 (pre-revised) or equivalent post in Government Department/Public Sector Undertaking/reputed private sector undertaking. Place of posting : Kerala. 2) Junior Assistant - Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 (PB1) with Grade Pay Rs.1900/-. No.of vacancies: Thirty (unreserved – 18, OBC – 6, SC – 3, ST – 2, PH – 1) (3 vacancies are reserved for Ex-servicemen). Qualifications: (a) Pass in SSLC Examination or equivalent qualification (b) Minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. in Typewriting, provided that a person not possessing the said qualification in Typewriting may be appointed subject to the condition that he will not be eligible for drawing increments in the pay scale or for confirmation in the grade until he acquires the minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. in Typewriting. Place of posting: 25 posts for Kerala and 5 for North Eastern region. Those who are desirous of applying for the post should clearly indicate their place of posting in the application as either Kerala or North Eastern region. The candidates who are applying for NE region should attend test/interview at Guwahati/Agartala. Age limit is 35 years for post No. 1 and 25 years for post No. 2 as on 07.12.2009. Usual age relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-serviceman/ Physically Handicapped and inservice personnel as per rules in force. The number of vacancies indicated above are provisional which includes the vacancies anticipated for the next one year and the same may vary depending on the actual requirement. All the posts carry Dearness Allowance and other benefits as applicable to Central Government Employees. Applications in the prescribed format (also available in Board’s website www.rubberboard.org.in) with photocopies of certificates and marklists starting from SSLC or equivalent and experience in an envelope superscribed “Application for the post of …………………………….” should reach the Deputy Secretary (P&A), Rubber Board, Sub Jail Road, Kottayam-686 002, Kerala, latest by 07.12.2009. Note: The Board reserves the right to short-list for written test/interview only the optimum number of most eligible candidates from applicants possessing the requisite qualifications. Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India. Employed candidates should send their applications through proper channel. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered. The Board reserves the right not to fill up all or any of the posts. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
