THE LINK A Message from the PTA President

We are off to a great start to the school year! Fall is just around the corner and we are busy planning for our annual Fall Festival. We hope you will mark your calendar to volunteer and attend on November 7th, from 4-8 p.m. We will have inflatables, games, prizes, music and concessions that everyone can enjoy. Of course, it brings in money that the PTA donates back to the school, but it also brings all the Ozona families together for a fun night as a community. You will be receiving a letter from the PTA and the school outlining our “Direct Giving Campaign”. We are trying to raise money for sixty iPads for the school. This would provide additional iPads in the classrooms. We hope you will consider giving what you can to support Ozona’s goals. No amount is too small. Thanks to your generosity, Osprey Partners in Education is off to a great start! There is still classrooms/specialty areas left without a sponsor. Please consider adopting a classroom or areas as these funds go directly to the teachers who purchase additional materials which enhance your child’s educational experience. If you have not already done so, please consider joining the PTA! Becoming a member of the PTA is the easiest way to show support for our school and it does not obligate you to volunteer. Our goal this year is to get over 350 members. Membership forms can be picked up in the PTA office.

Do you want your child to have a photograph in the memory book that they and you can cherish forever? Just think about when your little ones grow up and they have little ones of their own. When they visit wouldn’t it be great to show the grandchildren what Mom and Dad looked like when they were young? You can do that for them! Just provide the PTA with photograph(s) that you would like to see in the Ozona Elementary 2014-2015 memory book. We are looking for any photographs taken of your child during any school sponsored event, field trip or on school property. Please submit photographs to [email protected] or place the photograph in the PTA mailbox. Please include the names of the children in the picture, teacher and event.
