Dear Glee Club Alumni and Friends: On Saturday, January 10th at 7:30 PM, the Cornell University Glee Club will perform in the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater as part of its 2015 Northeast Tour. The concert program will feature both classical and contemporary men’s choral music, including this year’s commission from the Thomas A. Sokol Commissioning Endowment, Not One Word by Pulitzer Prize finalist Christopher Cerrone. The Glee Club’s a cappella subset, The Hangovers, will also perform a few pop favorites, and the program will close with beloved Cornell Songs including the Evening Song and Alma mater. The Washington Post referred to a past Glee Club performance in Washington as “Cornell Night” and noted that the “audience was filled with enthusiastic alumni, who quickly joined in” singing the Cornell Songs. Tickets for the concert are available for $25 through the Kennedy Center box office. The box office can be accessed online at www.kennedy-center.org (use the calendar to find the performance), by telephone at (202) 467-4600, or in person at the Kennedy Center. The Glee Club’s last two Washington-area performances sold out well in advance, so we encourage you to order tickets early. As you may know, the expense of a Glee Club tour is significant and is rarely covered by ticket sales. We hope you will consider making a donation to help underwrite the costs of the Glee Club’s visit and the reception that will follow this year’s concert. All sponsorships include prime tickets in a select block that will not be sold to the public until December 5th, 2014. Sponsorships can be made using the enclosed form. Thank you in advance for your support. We look forward to seeing you on January 10th! Sincerely yours, Gil Keteltas ’86 Dileep Srihari ’00 Becket Harney ‘17 Tour Manager 2015
