The Public Works Department The City of Minneapolis Public Works Department is adding key staff to the Transporta on Business Line, a divisional collabora on within the Department tasked with execu ng the City’s vision for transporta‐ on. Now is an exci ng me to a part of posi ve change in Minneapolis, and to be in the Department of Public Works. With organiza onal structure, policy, and fund‐ ing in place, the City of Minneapolis is poised to create las ng change in the transporta on system. Position Announcement
The Transporta on Planner is based out of the Transporta on Planning and Programming division of the Public Works Department. This posi on will lead and support a variety of city and regional transporta on projects, including planning ini a ves, policy work, plan development, and capital project management. This posi on coordinates work across the department, with other departments in the City and with regional partners. The Transporta on Planner will be responsible for short and long term transporta on planning projects, programs, and ini a ves in order to posi vely impact and improve the transporta on system in Minneapolis.
