Klima 210 23rd St., Miami Beach; 786-453-2779
Top-ranked tennis pros and Miami chefs will mingle poolside at the W Hotel (2201 Collins Ave.) on Monday night for Taste of Tennis, coinciding with the start of the Miami Open in Key Biscayne. Featured chefs include Andrew Carmellini (The Dutch), Paula DaSilva (3030 Ocean) and Patricia Yeo (Khong River House), and confirmed players Bob and Mike Bryan, Feliciano Lopez, Ivo Karlovic, Lucie Safarova, Ekaterina Makarova and others are scheduled to attend. The event is from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.; tickets are $200 and available at eventbrite.com.
The Who: Restaurateurs Pablo Fernández-Valdés and Yago Giner, who owned and operated the successful Grupo Tragaluz restaurant group out of Barcelona, have teamed up to open Klima. David “Rusti” Rustarazo (Coure in Barcelona) is the executive chef.
Bottom Line: Iberian food aficionados will find much to love here, as will design devotees. — Compiled by Evan S. Benn and Sara Liss Page: DiningList_1, Edition: 1st

The Space: The former Tosca space now looks like a hip boutique hotel with multicolor Turkish rugs, wood shelves lined with books and knick-knacks, and an enviable art and sculpture collection. A backyard patio festooned with designlover’s cardboard accordion lanterns is romantic and secluded. The Dishes: Mediterranean with global influences. The concise menu offers raw selections, homemade pastas and heartier mains. Prices skew high with starters $18-$20 and mains $24-$42. Zak the Baker gets things started, then it’s on to shareable plates like the salad made with fennel, burrata, kalamata, dried tomatoes and basil or the local fish ceviche with avocado, Chilean green onion, salmon roe, and togarashi. The tuna toast with brava chipotle, leek and lime is akin to a tuna tartare, and the salmorejo is like a gazpacho but more creamy, with lobster and egg yolk. Mains include pastas like the veal-stuffed cannelloni, black cod with spinach pesto, rib-eye with smoked eggplant and mustard, and chicken terrine and foie in a slow-roasted chicken reduction. Desserts keep things light and creative with an almond trifle and creamy chocolate, a Key lime pie and macerated strawberries with lemon slush.

Bad trip for ex-star of ‘RHOM’ A one-time cast member of The Real Housewives of Miami television show says an infestation of cockroaches led to her early Sunday arrest in Key Largo for driving with a suspended driver’s license with knowledge. But the Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputy who arrested Ana Quincoces wrote in his report that he and his supervisor gave her fair warning before seizing her license earlier, telling her not to drive, reports The Keynoter. Deputy Bryan Cross wrote in his report that he was doing a security check of the Key Largo Community Park at mile marker 99 of U.S. 1 around 3:40 a.m. when he saw Quincoces drive by in her Subaru sport utility vehicle. She was heading toward U.S. 1. He wrote that he recognized the car because of a “previous disturbance call.” During that call, Quincoces was informed that her Florida license had been suspended indefinitely and it was seized. In a statement to Scene in the Tropics columnist Lesley Abravanel, Quincoces explained: “I had an unpaid traffic ticket. I complied and got a D6 clearance but failed to file it with the DMV. Unbeknownst to me, my license was suspended. My attorney has already taken care of it.” So why defy police orders? “There were no available hotels in the Keys because of spring break so my Realtor friend offered that I stay at one of his listings,” Quincoces continued. “The house turned out to have a few rather large roaches. I am beyond petrified of roaches so I made the very stupid decision [to leave]. … I learned my lesson. It was mortifying.” The former reality star, a lawyer and mother of two, was taken to the Plantation Key jail on the misdemeanor charge and released on her own recognizance Sunday at 5:14 a.m. Outside of RHOM, Quincoces, a cookbook author, has had some good television exposure: She has guest-hosted The View and appeared on The Chew. ARREST MADE Authorities have charged a North Carolina man with firstdegree murder in the deaths of a former contestant from the TV show Food Network Star, her husband and their unborn child. Robert Jason Owens is being held without bond in the deaths of Cristie Schoen Codd, 38, and Joseph “J.T.” Codd, 45, the Asheville Citizen-Times reports. Owens, 36, did odd jobs for the couple at their home in the small mountain community of Leicester, police said. They were reported missing by family members on Sunday, after their cherished dogs were found alone in the house.
OWENS, CODDS
“Some days I do it well, other days very badly. I’m just human,” KLG says. “I start my day with an hour of devotions, and that centers me. My faith isn’t something I just practice on Sunday mornings. It’s got to infuse every moment of your life.” Gifford doesn’t exactly have a 9-5 desk job. “Thankfully I rarely have what one would consider a typical day. I like to mix it up,” she says. “I’m doing more acting recently [e.g., Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce]. I also do weekly podcasts, and I’ve been traveling to various cities to introduce GIFFT to everyone.” OK, for real. Any siestas in the picture? “I love a good nap when I can get it,” she admits, “but I am blessed with great health and a sturdy constitution. My dad always had three jobs so I come by it genetically.” As for a beauty routine, Gifford credits a “great dermatologist” and exercising “every day in one way or another.” Tickets: www.bocabacchanal.com; 561-395-6766 LIGHTING UP HER LIFE Paris Hilton is taking her role as DJ seriously. No, really she is. The heiress worked the tables at Cavalli Miami on Monday night. The 34-year-old, who has a regular gig in Ibiza, Spain, rocked her slim figure in a yellow and flesh tone lace bodysuit. After the set, she tweeted to her 13.2 million followers: “Love you Miami! So much fun playing for you all last night. You light up my world!” SEEN & HEARD BET reality star Angela Simmons is her father’s No. 1 fan. The 27-year-old daughter of legendary Run DMC rapper (aka Joseph Simmons) was backstage during Rev Run’s rousing Jazz in the Gardens performance at Sun Life Stadium Sunday night. “The energy on stage was insane!!! Dad killed it,” the Run’s House star Instagrammed. The next day, Simmons donned a red Baywatch-style bathing suit for some beach yoga. David Beckham was seen at MIA on Sunday and then around town on Monday. Is the trip soccerstadium related? It’s unclear because Beck’s rep tells Local 10 the Englishman is here on “personal business.” MADELEINE MARR

Despite the early hour, it’s no secret that Kathie Lee Gifford loves her Wine Wednesdays with Today cohost Hoda Kotb. Now the TV personality has turned her liquid hobby into a side business. Gifford is the “celebrity vintner” at the 13th annual Boca Bacchanal this weekend. She’ll represent her GIFFT line of wines, a 50-50 partnership with Monterey, California’s Scheid Family Wines. Catch her bubbly self Friday night at a kickoff party Boca Raton Airport’s Atlantic Aviation hangar and sample the collection, which is also served on Carnival ships (Wine Enthusiast gave the red an impressive 91 out of 100 points and the chardonnay 88.) If asked, Gifford — who along with husband Frank Gifford has had a home in the Keys for 20 years — is hard pressed to answer the tough question: red or white? Gifford would only say she was looking forward to introducing a “spectacular” pinot noir rose shortly. No playing favorites. At 61, Gifford not only looks terrific but also is the same ball of energy she was when she lovingly sparred with Regis Philbin during a 15-year run (1985–2000) on Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee. Is there a secret to the mother of two’s impressive juggling act? Being spiritual helps.

Double vision: The Bryan Brothers Were you chewing the fat with Mike or Bob? That was the question on many lips Monday night at the first annual Taste of Tennis Miami at W South Beach. Presented by Citi, the posh, poolside event (which has kicked off the U.S. Open in NYC for the past 15 years) brought together both the culinary and sports worlds. Identical twin doubles players Bob and Mike Bryan shook hands and took selfies with attendees who paid $200 a ticket to mingle with such athletes as Danish tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki and try food by the likes of Andrew Carmellini (The Dutch), Paula DaSilva (3030 Ocean) and Dustin Ward (BLT Prime). A percentage of proceeds went to FIU College of Architecture + The Arts. The 36-year-old California boys — in town for the Miami Open in Key Biscayne — are super tough to tell apart. Same moviestar grin. Same playful eyes. They also can act as one another’s spokesman. Tampa-based Mike, the elder by two minutes, reported that Bob is a fellow full-fledged Florida guy now, having relocated to the Hallandale Beach area for a woman, now his wife. “He’s loving the water, wearing the Miami-chic wardrobe, lots of pastels. He’s living the
