It is the loss of what a student has learned when they do not read when school is not in session. Studies show that children’s reading skills improve when they have access to books over the summer. In fact, children who are given access to books over the course of three summers perform 35-40% better on reading achievement tests than those without. After each grade level award ceremony, please join us in the Media Center.
