CREDIT RECOVERY PROGRAM Summer school is available to students looking to make up credit lost as a result of course failures. Online Credit Recovery courses are offered in all core subjects. Students may enroll in multiple courses, but only one course may be taken at a time. All courses must be completed within the two week session. Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration, and is non refundable. Students who successfully complete summer school can earn .5 credit per period, per semester. Upon completion of all coursework, students receive a grade of either PASS or FAIL. Please note: The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) does not accept courses for credit which earn a PASS or FAIL grade.

Registration Process To register for summer school: Meet with guidance counselor and determine courses. Counselor must sign registration form. Mail completed form with payment to:

Summer School Registrations 10 Crosby St Danbury CT 06810 Payment must be received with form, and must be made by Visa, MasterCard, Bank Check or Money Order ONLY. Cash or personal checks will NOT be accepted. Walk-in registration will be held June 29 and 30 at Westside Middle School, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Students must bring their grades or transcript.

Blended Courses: A combination of teacher facilitated sessions and independent online learning: Algebra I, College Prep Algebra II, College Prep (*) (**) Teacher Facilitated Courses: Geometry, College Prep (*)

Pre-Calculus, College Prep (*) (**)

Danbury’s Summer Acceleration Program will provide multiple learning opportunities for Danbury High School students. Courses have been designed to accelerate learning toward district standards so that students have more opportunities to take advanced courses at DHS during the regular school year.

Chemistry, College Prep (*) (**)

Accelerated courses will be graded as a Pass/Fail and do not count towards GPA and class rank. Please note the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) does not accept courses for credit which earn a pass/fail grade.

All courses encompass semester I and II. Upon completion, students who pass the course will receive 1 credit.

Physical Education and Health (*) available to students entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade

Accelerated courses require a minimum enrollment of 10 students. Payment by credit card is required to enroll; however payment will not be processed until registration is complete in June, if there is sufficient enrollment for the class.
