Researchers on behavior of South American Primates have been struggling since always to find a place in Anthropology, without managing to receive deserved attention. However, this situation has changed worldwide in last decades. But what happened in Latin America, especially in Argentina? In my training as a zoologist who studies the behavior of capuchin monkeys (Cebus apella) in captivity and natural environment, I found insurmountable gaps that, little by little, would seem to be disappearing.
