BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Technology and Assessment, perform a variety of technical duties in the management of the student information database for the District Office; create and maintain master student database for information and analysis; input testing data and student information into an assigned computer system; assure accuracy of data input and management. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform a variety of technical duties in the management of the student information database for an assigned school; manage the accuracy of the database to compile and develop statistical reports as requested; maintain confidentiality of student information. Create and maintain databases related to student enrollment, information, programs, staff information, course sections and course section enrollment; manage the database by collecting and organizing new and existing student data and modifying registration and information as required; assure current student data. Provide reports, labels, spreadsheets and other documents as needed for school personnel; prepare reports for outside agencies including educational institutions as requested; input coded information according to site and outside academic agency standards; assure accuracy of data and efficiency of report preparation. Input testing data and student information into an assigned computer system; generate a variety of computerized reports and distribute to appropriate departments and school sites as requested; distribute test results to appropriate outside agencies; maintain automated records; assure accuracy of input and output information. Communicate with staff and parents in person or on the telephone to exchange information, resolve issues or concerns and coordinate activities; assist staff and others in the proper operation of the system. Operate a computer and assigned office equipment; troubleshoot equipment or software malfunctions and perform minor maintenance as needed. OTHER DUTIES: Perform related duties as assigned.

Assure accuracy of data input and management. Coordinate departments to comply with project time lines throughout the school year. Manage the accuracy of the database to compile statistical reports. Maintain confidentiality of student information. Type and input data at an acceptable rate of speed. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Prepare comprehensive statistical reports. Prioritize and schedule work. Meet schedules and time lines. Verify accuracy of data input and output. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years experience operating a comprehensive database system. WORKING CONDITIONS: ENVIRONMENT: Office environment. Constant interruptions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Hearing and speaking to exchange information. Seeing to read a variety of materials. Sitting for extended periods of time. Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to file materials. Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling moderately heavy objects as assigned.
