OUT-01 SEASONALLY SAVVY BACKYARD BIRD FEEDING Migration, food preferences, and weather vary continuously throughout the year and influence the bird activity at your feeder. Being “seasonally savvy” means you adjust your feeding program to match birds changing behavior. This two-day course will review the birds, the foods, the feeders, and the adjustments necessary to be “seasonally savvy” in your own backyard to enjoy the hobby of bird feeding all year long. You can journal your daily notes, hikes, trips, past experiences, and even recipes. Bullet journaling basics briefly explain how a bullet journal works. I’ll share oodles of examples of how we are reconnecting using bullet journals to organize, inspire, beautify, and maximize our lives. PHY-08 BEGINNING ARGENTINE TANGO Argentine Tango is both an expressive movement art and social dance that is entirely improvisational. Tango has no basic step, but is instead based upon geometric movements and each person’s center of gravity. This makes this dance form much more like a martial art, and as such, it is not something learned in one evening of dance lessons. It is a human connection that promotes empathy, spirituality, and joy, as well as physical benefits of healthy movement. Learn the fundamentals of Tango! PHO-01 DSLR LEVEL I and II COMBINED CLASS Level I DSLR Photography is for those who want to learn how to use their DSLR camera other than in AUTO mode. You will learn your camera’s menu, how to set up the camera, and how to get the correct exposure when photographing in Aperture Priority. Level II covers the Quality of Light & Types of Lighting that affect your photos that go beyond a snapshot. Classes are integrated with lectures, outside shooting (weather permitting), and assignments.Everyone needs to have their own DSLR camera with a lens. No Point and Shoot cameras or cell phones. Materials needed: DSLR Camera & Lens, SD/CF card, Camera Manual, Battery Charger, and Notepad. PHY-09 PIYO LIVE Piyo is an athletic workout to music inspired by the mind/body practices of Pilates and yoga. It includes flexibility and strength training, conditioning, and dynamic movement. Modifications are included to allow everyone to join in and still offers progressions to challenge all levels of fitness. You may choose to do this workout with or without shoes, but a mat is recommended either way. PHO-02 PHOTOGRAPHY AND WORDS This class is for Advanced Photo students who’ve completed Level I-II and understand the techincal part of photography. Keeping certain words in mind when photographing can help with focusing on a subject such as: TEXTURE is found in rough vs. smooth in a variety of materials: fabrics, wood, fur, etc. while COLOR can stimulate the senses as to brights, darks, or earth tones. Words can support in IMPACTING your photos.
