Marrickville Network Public Speaking
This Wednesday St Peters will be hosting the network final of the public speaking competition for 2017. Ten schools from across the network will be competing in four competitions. Our finalists Billie, Archie, Marlow and Asher will be representing St Peters and we wish them all the very best of luck. The competition will take place in the school hall and library and besides an adjustment to lunch which will be held in the playground and Mr Park’s class who will move to Room 7 on this day, there will be no disruption to school services. Some of the year 5 and 6 students will be helping out with the competition to ensure that it runs smoothly.
Chess
There has been a very good response to the chess expression of interest and as a result we will be contacting Sydney Academy of Chess to organise the program. As soon as we have arrangements a note will be sent out. It is not too late to submit an EOI. We will continue to accept notes all this week while we organise the program.
Touch Football Gala Day
On 25 October Mr Park will be taking students to a Touch Football gala day where schools across the South Sydney PSSA zone will be competing. This event has been organised by Mr Park and is part of our intention to increase opportunities for students at St Peters to compete in sport.
