Sonoma State University Townhouses

The University owns ten townhouses within a 10 minute walk from the center of campus. The townhouses are intended for newly hired tenure-track faculty, to help them transition into the local community. Other University employees – continuing tenuretrack faculty, lecturers, new and continuing staff – are eligible for the townhouses, but at a lower priority. The townhouses are a good value in Sonoma County and are available for a one year lease at $2,100 per month. They are available beginning midJuly with leases typically ending on June 30. All utilities paid by lessee. Pets are permitted with an additional security deposit. The townhouses are each approximately 1300 sq. ft. They are two stories, with three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a double car garage. Downstairs there is a nice living room with fireplace, sliding glass door to the enclosed landscaped back yard patio, a half-bath, and a kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has a built-in gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator and garbage disposal. Upstairs are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a full bath and large walk-in closet. The townhouses have window coverings, forced air heating, carpeting, phone & TV cable jacks. There are hook-ups in the garage for washer and gas or electric dryer. Townhouse applications from all categories of applicants for the 2016-2017 academic year can be obtained from the Facilities Services Office and must be submitted no later than April 30th. Newly hired tenure-track faculty applications are processed on a firstcome-first-served basis. Other eligible employees who submit applications will be offered remaining townhouses in priority order.
