Software Evaluation Rubric Use this rubric to evaluate school software. Indicate a score for each measure. (0-deficient, 1-poor, 2-average, 3-outstanding)
The software… Aligns with the school or district’s published values and beliefs Will facilitate instruction, learning, and/or assessment Is easy to use and has a common-sense interface Has a simple Installation/registration process Includes appropriate training materials (user guides, tutorials, podcasts) Includes accessibility options for diverse users Includes prompt, accessible support Includes free, download-able updates Is cost effective. The potential gain justifies the expense Includes collaborating, sharing, or progressmonitoring capabilities
