Other Opportunities It has been a Privilege and a Joy to have Pastor Randy and Linda Paulson serving Grace Lutheran the past couple of years. This is their last Sunday with Grace before they move to Colorado . This Sunday will include Holy Communion as well as a Farewell for them. Sunday, September 11th will be Rally Day Sunday, and the morning schedule will change. Sunday School will begin at 9:15 AM, and the Worship Service will begin at 10:30 AM. Please join us in starting off the Fall season! There will be a potluck picnic at the Edmonds City Park following the service. All are welcome! Information for Fall Retreat: Women's Ministries Fall Retreat is Sept. 23rd, 24th, and 25th at Hope Lutheran (Silver Lake) in Everett. Cost is $35.00. There are information and registration sheets on the cabinet in the narthex. If you need more forms, let Helga know. This is local for us. The main events are all day Saturday, the 24th.

Church Cleaning Women’s Retreat at Hope Church Everett. Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Prayer and Praise "The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; my Father's God, and I will extol Him." We thank You for the opportunity to begin this new school year, and a new Sunday School year next week. We ask that You bless the students and teachers. We pray that You will guide us in Your ways, so that we will seek Your will in everything that we do, and love others as You love us. We trust in Your travel protection for members of our church family who are gone this weekend and are traveling. Bring them safely back to us. We pray for the people of central Italy who have lost loved ones, who are injured, and who have been effected and shaken by fear by last weeks earthquake. We thank You for Your servant Pastor Randy Paulson and his wife Linda, who have served us here at Grace. Be with them as they enter this new season of life and continue to bestow Your grace upon them as they move to Colorado. Please continue to be with Vicki Drew as she recovers from shoulder replacement surgery. Pray for Robyn King as she continues to deal with dialysis, and possible pain relief surgery again. We lift up our friends who are in various stages of cancer care and treatment. Give Lon Davidson, Ruth Hays, Gerri Lake, Tom Olsen, Sherrie Sanderson and Valentina's mom strength. Lift them up as they have their various procedures. We pray that Your hand will be over their care and that You will be with their doctors and healthcare professionals. Please continue to show Your mercy to John Holmer as he continues to show strength. We also ask for Your peace and strength for Eldon Dennis. We pray for the families that face their day without their loved ones. Please give them comfort in knowing that they are with You. Thank You that you are our hope and salvation. Help us to seek Your loving presence as we may feel the grief and sadness of the loss of a loved one.
Apostles' Creed I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
The Lord's Prayer Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
