*CALL TO WORSHIP The invitation is given to every person by Jesus Christ: “Come, follow Me! Be My disciples! We come to this place, to this time, at the invitation of Jesus Christ. Will we answer His call? Following Jesus is difficult. So many things have laid claim to our lives. Lord, You have brought us from fear to hope; strengthen us to let go of all that is holding us back. Search our hearts and minds. Free us to follow You. Enable us to be true disciples, faithfully sharing our witness of God’s living presence in the world. Come, let us worship together.

The North Carolina State Fair is October 13th - 23 and we need roughly 1000 volunteers to staff the booth for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. All sign ups this year will be electronic via the Sign Up Genius accessed via the church website wpumc.com. The Sign up Genius will officially go on line in about a week or so, until then email Dave DeMaster at
[email protected] and I will reserve spots for your class on the sign-up spreadsheet. It is great fun to work at the Fair and it supports about 20% of all of our Missions efforts at White Plains, so let's all "step up to the plate" and work a few shifts!
