Revised Special Meeting Minutes Board of Education  Niles Township High Schools  District 219  Cook County, Illinois September 20, 2016

I.

Call to Order and Roll Call Board President Sproat called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Board Members Present at Roll Call: Carlton Evans, Ruth Klint, Linda Lampert, Brian Novak, Joseph Nowik, Mark Sproat. Board Members Absent: David Ko

II.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

III.

Welcome President Sproat thanked everyone for attending the meeting.

IV.

Audience to Visitors On Agenda and Non-Agenda Items  Eric Poders spoke on the following subjects: Open FOIAs, Tiffs in Morton Grove, and the concept of consolidating Maine and Niles Township like District 214 has done.

V.

Closed Session It was moved by LAMPERT and seconded by EVANS to recess into closed session to discuss self-evaluation, practices and procedures, or professional ethics, when meeting with a representative of a statewide association of which the District is a member. A roll call vote was taken. Voting Aye: Evans, Klint, Lampert, Novak, Nowik, Sproat. The motion carried.

The meeting adjourned to Closed Session at 6:09 p.m. VI.

Open Session It was moved by LAMPERT and KLINT to return to Open Session. A roll call vote was taken. Voting Aye: Evans, Klint, Lampert, Novak, Nowik, Sproat. The motion carried. The Board returned to Open Session at 9:24 p.m.

VII.

Adjournment It was moved by NOVAK and seconded by KLINT to adjourn the meeting. A roll call vote was taken. Voting Aye: Evans, Klint, Lampert, Novak, Nowik, Sproat. The motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
