It gives us immense pleasure to invite all health and hospital administrators, students and professionals associated with the health sector to CLAIRVOYANCE 2006 “Professional Management in Healthcare: Arching for the Zenith” The management and delivery of healthcare is evolving at a rapid pace. In this highly competitive scenario, it becomes imperative for every professional administrator to keep pace with the latest trends in technology and management of public health and hospital institutions. The shifting paradigm echoes the changing forces from a "doctor driven" market to a "community driven" market. With the pervasive debate on the humane approach and ethics in healthcare as a part of the social responsibility, the ever important question of self sustenance and funding has become important. In this contemporary setting, the theme of CLAIRVOYANCE 2006 echoes the paradigms of how modern and innovative professional management practices, concepts and models can help the healthcare sector realize the National health goals. The seminar will address issues and challenges from the perspective of the public health as well as the institutionalized hospital care. CLAIRVOYANCE 2006 brings together various experts from across the country to come and share their views, experiences and wisdom with us. Student fraternity short listed from all health and hospital administration colleges across India will be contesting for the PRATYANCHA 2006- a paper presentation competition on the session themes. All the sessions are aimed at deepening our insights into the challenging issues facing public health and hospital care industry.
