General Election Process Timeline (in relation to date of ASLA Annual Mtg) ≥ 150 days prior 30 days later
Chapter Secretary issue call for potential nominees to the Chapter membership Nominating Committee (3 members min: Past president, associate member, & assoc or full member) meet to consider nominations and prepare slate for 2 nominees for each positions ≥ 90 days prior Nominating Committee complete slate with acceptance from each nominee presented to President. President presents to Exec. Comm for approval ≥ 60 days prior Secretary provide el ection ballots to Full + Associate members in good standing. Should include ballot info… voting process and closing date/time ≤ 30 days Voting Open ≤ 7 days upon close of voting Tellers Committee (3 memb min: two full or assoc member, one associate member) count ballots, verify el ection results, and forward written and confidential tabulation of results to President and Secretary. Results kept confidential until released by President for publication by the Chapter ≥ 30 days prior Notify the Societ y/ASLA of el ection results
