Dear Councilman, The Schnitzelburg Area Community Council would like our support of the Three Points Beautification project to be known. We believe the project including a mural, new landscaping, and infastructure improvements will greatly improve the aesthetics of the intersection on Goss Avenue and Logan Streets and enhance the neighborhoods that respectively meet at the intersection. We wholly support the emphasis this project puts on bringing three historic neighborhoods together: German-Paristown, Shelby Park and Schnitzelburg. As this intersection is a “gateway” into Schnitzelburg, we feel the project will be instrumental into welcoming people into the neighborhood and creating awareness of our great neighborhood. Furthermore, we believe this project will complement the Goss Avenue Beautification Project currently underway and the massive renovation of the former Goss Antique Mall into the Germantown Mill Lofts. As developers invest in the community, we would like to see surrounding areas be invested in as well. With the positive momentum from projects such as this, we look forward to an enriched community. As the SACC offers support of the Three Points Beautification, we hope you will be able to support the project as well.
