First installment of Last Minute Memos for RMCLAS! Transportation from airport-hotel and panel length.

I. How to get to the Hilton from Salt Lake City Airport The Salt Lake City airport is charmingly small, and also charmingly close to downtown Salt Lake City. The hotel is the Hilton Salt Lake City Center, and the address is 255 S W Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. You have a number of options to get to the hotel, all of which take 15-20 minutes. 1) Trax light rail ($2.50 one way) a. In the airport, walk to the end of terminal 1 (there are only 2 terminals in SLC and they are very close to each other). There you will find the airport station for Trax (Salt Lake City’s light rail system). b. Buy a ticket from the machine ($2.50 one-way, $5.00 round trip—on Green Line, the only option from the airport). Trains run every 15 minutes starting at 5:42 am on weekdays (check for return schedule on weekend). c. Get off at the Gallivan Plaza Station (big red arrow below). From there you can walk to the Hilton. d. Head north (see red line below) half a block and make a left on 200 South (the first street you come to). e. Walk on 200 South for one block then turn left (south) on West Temple, f. Walk half a block on 200 South until you see the Hilton on your left. g. If you happen to walk the other way when you get off Trax, and you run into 300 South, just follow the opposite directions (turn right on 300 South, then right on West Temple).

2) Haroon Transportation. Runs a shuttle from 5 am to 8 pm. 1-855-316-6888. $12.00 for one way per person. Or call hotel and they will arrange with Haroon. They leave every 20 minutes from hotel. 3) Taxi/Other. Taxi is $25.00 for up to 3 people; not sure about Uber/Lyft. II. Panel Lengths: Because of the high volume of submissions to RMCLAS, we had to make the panels 90 minutes long (as you saw in the preliminary program). Please prepare for shorter presentation times, especially if you have 4 presenters.
