3 - Excellent Topic is couched in a research question that demonstrates complex consideration. Not a thesis statement, but shows a purposeful direction for research. A creative list of at least 15 keywords. The range must be broad and the topic should not be obvious for all of them. Resource references are complete and retraceable. Database resources are cited according to MLA7 guidelines. Posts briefly describe the resource’s impact on the research process. Comments to other students’ post demonstrate evaluative consideration of the research process. They offer helpful guidance and include possible new directions for research. Posts span over days and weeks. They demonstrate at least 10 logins at 10 different times. Posts demonstrate ongoing reflection about several of the topics under research. Posts demonstrate a progression of growth over time. The topic morphs and evolves. It is revised at least twice during the research process.
