Registration & Payment Instructions for Uni-track Students With a Fresno State I.D. Number Students With a Fresno State I.D. Number: If you have a Fresno State I.D. Number but you cannot recall the number, please call the Division of Continuing and Global Education at (DCGE) at (559) 278-0333 or the Help Desk at (559) 278-7000 for assistance. When you call, you will be asked to provide your personal information as verification. The Division of Continuing and Global Education: If you need assistance with the instructions outlined below, please call DCGE at (559) 278-0333. DCGE’s business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our office is located in the Kremen School of Education and Human Development Building in room 130 on the Fresno State campus. The Help Desk: The university’s Help Desk can also assist you, please call (559) 278-7000. The Help Desk is available for telephone support from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays. When you call the Help Desk, you will be asked to provide your personal information as verification. Once your information has been verified by DCGE or the Help Desk, you will be given your Fresno State I.D. Number. Write down your Student ID. This will be your Student ID number for your entire career at Fresno State. If your Uni-track course begins in January, 2013, registration will begin on Monday, January 14, 2013 and conclude on Thursday, February 28, 2013. Registration Fees & Unit Limits: Registration Fees for Uni-track courses are $40 per course. Uni-track students can register for up to 8 units of academic credit, per semester. Transcripts: Fresno State Transcripts can be obtained through the Transcript Office on our Fresno State campus. Information on how to request an “official” transcript can be viewed at the following URL: http://www.fresnostate.edu/studentaffairs/are/registrar/transcripts.html.

The deadline to register and to pay for your Uni-track courses is Monday, October 15, 2012. The following pages contain your registration (pages 2 – 9) and payment (pages 3 – 15) instructions with corresponding screen shots. 1

Instructions with Screen Shots 1. You will need to create a “Fresno State Email Account” by going to the following link https://googleapps.fresnostate.edu/signup/ 2. The following screens will assist you in creating your Fresno State Email Account. You will need this to log into the My Fresno State portal to enroll in classes.

3. After you have created your email account, you will need to go back to the My Fresno State portal and “Sign In” using your “username” and “password” that you just created.

4. Click on the “Student Self Service” link in the My Menu section on the left-hand side.

5. In the Student Self Service screen, click on the Student Center.

6. Click on the green arrow next to “My Academic Records & Registration.”

7. Returning students will select “ContinGlobalEd Class” from the pull down menu. You are considered a returning student since you already had a Fresno State I.D. Number. Click on the symbol (the circle with the double arrows) next to the pull down menu to continue.

8. Program to Enroll – select the “Undergraduate CGE UNITRACK classes for” using the pull down menu. Please click on “Enroll in Classes.” 9. Your Uni-track teacher will give you the “term” in which your class has been assigned to using the pull down menu. The available terms are Fall 2012, Spring 2013 or Summer 2013. Select the term and click to “submit” to continue.

10. Your Uni-track instructor will provide a 5 digit class number (i.e. 50001). The class number was created for your specific Uni-track course for your high school. Hit the “enter” button once you have typed in your 5 digit class number.

If your Uni-track course has a laboratory component, an example would be CHEM 1A, EES 4, etc., you will be automatically enrolled in the laboratory portion of the course. Exception: The exception is if you are registering in BIOL 1B (lecture) and BIOL 1BL (lab). You will need two separate class numbers in order to register in the lecture and lab portion of this course. You will need to obtain the class numbers from your Uni-track instructor. 6

11. Some Uni-track courses have a “Mixed Grading Option” which means that you can decide if you want to take your course for a Letter Grade (A, B, C, D or F) OR Credit (earned a final grade of A, B or C)/No Credit (earned a final grade of D or F). Use the pull down menu to determine the grading option you want for your Uni-track course. If you don’t choose a grading option, when the option is available, the system will automatically default to “Letter” grading. 12. Some Uni-track courses don’t have a grading option and the grading basis cannot be chosen by the individual student. This statement is true if you don’t see a pull down menu option for your Uni-track course.

Please check to see if you can pick your grading option by using the pull down menu, if available.

13. Click the “Next” button. 7

14. The course you selected has been added to your “Shopping Cart.” Click “Proceed to Step 2 of 3” when you have verified your course(s) selected.

15. Click “Finish Enrolling” to process your request for the course(s) listed below. To exit without adding these classes, click “Cancel.”

16. You are now successfully enrolled in your Uni-track course(s). Click on the “Student Center” to pay for your registration fees.

How to Pay for Your Fees: *Uni-track registration fees are due by October 15, 2012. If you want to pay for your registration fees in person, please go to the Cashier’s Windows, Joyal Building, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may pay your fees using cash, personal checks, money orders, VISA and MasterCard. 1. If you want to pay for your fees online - Go to “My Finances” to pay your fees.

2. Click on “View eBills/Make a Payment” to pay for your registration fees.

3. The following E-Bill (Electronic Bill) will show the current balance due to Continuing and Global Education. 4. Click on “Make Payment”

7. Select a Method of Payment. Your choices are credit card (American Express, Discover, and Master Card) OR by electronic check. 8. Once you have made your selection, click the “Continue Checkout” button.

9. Paying by Credit Card. You must check the “terms and conditions” box before you can continue with the checkout process.

10. Verify your name, address, credit card information and the amount to be charged to your credit card.

Your receipt will automatically be emailed to your Fresno State Email Account and you can also click on “View Printable Receipt” to print your receipt immediately. 12. Paying by E-Pay (Electronic Payment by Check). Fill out the required information and click on “Continue Checkout” to complete your transaction.
