How To Fit Door Handle Covers These instructions apply to all our door handle kits for the Range Rover from 2002 onwards including the 2010 models. Note the 2010 models differ in that there is no round keyhole in the driver’s door handle on the 2010 model. Kit Contents : • 8 x Door Handle Covers ( 4 long & 4 short ) • Instructions • Solvent wipe Step 1 – First check you have all the parts. All the long parts are the same. The short parts need to be checked as one part may have a round keyhole in it ( early models ) or there may be a small key release hole on the side of one part ( later models ). You can cover the key hole with a standard cover to make your vehicle look “cleaner” if so desired. Step 2 – Clean all 4 door handles with the solvent wipe provided – this is to remove any grease and dirt that would prevent the parts from sticking in place properly. Step 3 – Do not remove the liner from the double sided tape yet – trial fit the parts first. The best way to do this is lock the door ( so the doors don’t come open ). Fit the parts over the handles in turn and check you are happy with the fit of the parts. Step 4 - When you are happy with the location remove the part and a small line of silicone adhesive between the tape. Then remove the backing from the tape on the rear side.and press firmly in place to ensure the parts are well adhered.

Step 5 – Use a cloth to remove any excess silicone from around the handle ( baby wipes are great for doing this ) Step 6 – For a more professional result you may choose to add some silicone at the ends of the handle to fill the slight gap between the handle and the cover. Remove any excess silicone with a cloth ( again baby wipes are great for doing this ). Do not try to see how well the parts are stuck in place as full adhesion will not occur for about 24 hours.

OTES 1) The adhesive will not work well below 5 Deg C. Once fitted the parts will be fine when exposed to lower temperatures but do not try the initial fitting at low temperatures. 2) Extra adhesive can be achieved by adding some silicone adhesive between the tape as shown. 3) These instructions are available to download in colour at www.PowerfulUK.com Care & Cleaning For best results we recommend cleaning this product with Autoglym metal polish as this will protect the product and also can be used to polish out fine scratches and marks without damaging the polished surface.
