Discussion
We had a great assembly. The kids loved the K9 dogs and Layton PD officers. A thank you will be sent to the officers, and a tennis ball to the dogs. There were hand print pledges, pledge cards, and cookies at lunch with kids drawing/writing what they hope to be when they grow up. An allergy-free option was provided.
7. Discuss Communications Parent/School/PTO
Discussion
The PTO will be going digital as much as possible. Parents are encouraged to check their information in the SIS system. The school was using the e-mail list obtained from the enrollment lottery until July of 2013. All student info was manually entered into the SIS system which could account for any mistakes.
The PTO will be advertising during the Fall Festival that we are going to digital communications as our main communication method. 8. Yearbook Committee and Publisher -Carr Publisher was voted on and approved by the PTO board. -Perhaps a contest could be held to design the cover. -It was proposed that the 6 th graders could help with the yearbook since they are the first graduating class. Discussion & -Working on the yearbook committee would be a great at-home Voting Results opportunity. -We could ask parents and teachers for pictures and create a file -share for photos. Action
