Kind attentionis invited to the points raisedby the NFIR in the openingaddressof the PNM meetingon l3l14^ November,2017at Rail Bhavan,relatingto provisionof berths/seats to the conductors/TTEs. While referringthe CommercialCircularNo. 72/2017,the Federationhas pointedout "that the said circularprovidesfor one berth in ZAC andone berth in 3AC Coaches. whereasthe compositionof MailiExpress,SuperfastTrains varies from 3-4 to 5-6-7-8 or 9-10 Coaches.The said CommercialCircular has not specifiedthat when the compositionof trains varieswith the increaseof Coaches,the berthsare requiredto be earmarkedfor conductors/TTEs and in absenceof clarity in Commercial Circular No. 72/2017, the Ticket Checking Staff manning AC Coachesare facing lot of inconveniencedue to non-provision of earmarked berthiseatfor them". It is however noticed that the Railway Board has not taken remedial measuresby providingberthson the basisof compositionof numberof Coacheson Mail/Expressand super fasttrains. NFIR once gain requeststhe Railway Board (AlWCommercial)to kindly get the matter checked up for the purpose of providing one berth out of two AC Coaches for the conductors/TTEs and accordinglyissueclarificatoryinstructionsto the ZonalRailway soon.
