Headline: American Youth Symphony Musicians Take The Stage at LACMA’s Bing Theatre As Part of Free Concert Series Deck: At 6pm on Sunday, October 30, principal musicians from the American Youth Symphony will perform in LACMA’s critically acclaimed Sundays Live concert series. Text: On Sunday, October 30 at 6pm in LACMA’s elegant Leo S. Bing Theatre, principal American Youth Symphony (AYS) musicians will perform as part of the museum’s popular Sundays Live concert series. This concert will feature the work of two classical music prodigies: Joseph Haydn’s Quartet Op. 76 #5 and Johannes Brahms’s Clarinet Quintet. In keeping with AYS’s long tradition of community engagement and commitment to accessibility, the concert will be free and open to the public. Seating will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. The American Youth Symphony is made up of a diverse group of over 100 exceptionally talented musicians between the ages of 15-27. Each member receives invaluable training from world class conductors and seasoned mentors, as well as generous financial support and unique opportunities to perform in front of large, enthusiastic audiences across all music backgrounds. These one-hour concerts are presented free to the public at 6pm each Sunday and have featured artists such as the Encore Saxophone Quartet, violinist Roberto Cani, pianists Conor Hanick, Nadia Shpachenko, Andrei Baumann, and Petronel Malan, flutist Susan Greenberg, clarinettist Michel Duo, and LACMA’s resident Capitol Ensemble.
