Fire and Life Safety Upgrade at Literature Building May 2016 to August 2016

To All Occupants:  Arrow Automatic will be performing a fire and life safety upgrade to the Fire Sprinkler System, the Fire Alarm System, and the Building Elevators. 

The overhead install throughout the building will be executed after hours between 5PM to 8AM unless requested otherwise.

 Attached is color coded schedule for the project install, which shows the dates we will be in your specific area. o Device install will be performed in all color coded areas proceeding the “raceway and wire pull” install. The entire device install will be from August 1st through August 12th.

 Install Procedure o Gain access above T bar and hard lid ceiling by pulling out tiles and o o o o o

climbing into access doors with ladders Drilling into concrete slab to set pipe hangers above T bar and hard lid ceilings on ladders Lifting and routing pipe, Conduit and Wire above T bar and hard lid ceilings on ladders Cutting 2.5” holes into T bar ceiling and hard lids for fire sprinkler finish work. Hole Coring through concrete walls and floors where required. Installing FA devices in all ceilings required.

 All work described above will be performed down hallways, between lab benches and in offices so we ask you keep the floor space in these areas as clear as possible at the end of each day.  At the end of our shifts we will leave the spaces accessed as they were left before the beginning of each shift.  We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for cooperating
