ATTENTION INSTALLER Please carefully read our installation guide prior to installation. Make sure you have observed your local plumbing and building codes thoroughly before you begin

• Metal edges may be sharp, please use caution when handling. You should always wear gloves. • Carefully unpack your new sink and make sure all necessary parts are included (sink, mounting brackets and cutting template). If any items are missing, contact us within 5 days of delivery. • Inspect your sink for any signs of damage prior to installation. Please do not install a damaged sink. • Installation of the sink must be completed by a professional licensed plumber. • The warranty will be voided if the installation instructions are not followed. • Requirements vary for installation in granite, quartz, marble, laminate, stone or butcher block tops. • Template is provided only for reference, carefully measure the actual sink for an accurate cut out. • Please discuss the desired finished appearance with your customer prior to installation. • Pozzo undermount sinks should only be installed onto a solid surface countertop. • Pozzo is not responsible for damage to the sink, countertop, plumbing or any other fixtures caused by improper installation. • Appropriate clearances must be accounted for to accommodate backsplashes, faucets and plumbing. • Any excess silicone adhesive around the sink must be removed and cleaned immediately. • Always wear proper safety gear to protect yourself from injury.

Mounting options POSITIVE REVEAL The rim of the sink is exposed beyond the countertop edge.

NEGATIVE REVEAL The countertop edge extends over the rim of the sink.

ZERO / FLUSH REVEAL The sink will align flush with the countertop edge.

Undermount sink application STEP 1 - POSITION OF THE SINK • Determine where the sink will be positioned on the countertop. • Make sure there is sufficient clearance of the sink on all sides below the countertop. • Carefully tape the cutting template to the countertop at the appropriate position (Templates are provided only for reference, carefully measure the actual sink dimensions). (Figure 1) STEP 2 - CHOOSE MOUNTING OPTION • Determine which reveal you want your sink to have: Positive Reveal, Negative Reveal or Zero/Flush Reveal (See Mounting Options for details).

• If you want a Negative Reveal, cut the hole smaller than the template. For a Positive Reveal, cut the hole slightly larger. For a Zero/Flush Reveal, cut to the exact measurements of the template. (Figure 2) STEP 3 - CUTTING THE COUNTERTOP • Choose the appropriate saw for the type of countertop material being used. • Carefully follow the predetermined reveal cutting outline to create the proper opening for the sink.

(Figure 3) STEP 4 - DRILL HOLES ON THE COUNTERTOP • Review the clip length carefully where the edge of the clips should overlap the sink rim. • Use 3 clips on the long sides of the sink. Use 2 clips on the short sides of the sink. The holes should be evenly spaced apart from each other starting near the corner. • Determine the thickness of the countertop. Use a drill bit with a stop block to avoid drilling through the countertop.

• Always wear proper safety gear to protect yourself from injury. • Drill holes on the underside of the countertop. All holes must be smaller than the screw size. (Figure 4)

Undermount sink application (continues) STEP 5 - APPLY SILICONE ADHESIVE • With the countertop upside down, use denatured alcohol to thoroughly clean the countertop holes and sink rim prior to attaching the sink. • Apply a bead of silicone adhesive along the edge of the hole in the countertop. • Place sink on the countertop. (Figure 5.1, Figure 5.2) Figure 5.1

STEP 6 - ATTACH SINK ON THE COUNTERTOP • It is recommended to install a faucet before installing the sink. • Please be aware that solid surface countertop hardware may vary based on the material of the countertop. • Insert the anchors into drilled holes and gently tap with a rubber mallet until flush • Attach the mounting hardware to secure the sink on the countertop. (Figure 6.1, Figure 6.2)

STEP 7 - CLEANING UP • Use a soft cloth with denatured alcohol to wipe off any excess silicone adhesive from the inside lip of the bowl after the sink is attached to the countertop. Always follow the cleaning directions on the label of the silicon adhesive. (Figure 7) STEP 8 - CHECK FOR LEAKS • Run a small amount of water into the sink and check for leaks under the cabinet. • Make proper adjustments or repairs if leaks are found.

Care and Cleaning of Your Stainless Steel Sink UNDERSTANDING OF STAINLESS STEEL Stainless steel needs to be maintained to retain its beauty and to protect its surface from corrosion. Understanding the finished surface of stainless steel is essential. Its corrosion resistant surface is protected by a thin layer of chromium oxide. Oxygen combines with the chromium oxide and forms a passive film that protects the sink surface. If the surface is contaminated by dirt or scratches caused by abrasive materials, it will reduce the corrosion protection and may leave particles embedded on the surface which can lead to rusting. Thus, routine cleaning with a nonabrasive cleanser is required to protect the invisible layer of the sink. While some dirt may be easily removed, others may require specific cleaners for effective removal.

MYTHS ABOUT RUSTING STAINLESS STEEL DOES NOT RUST due to the invisible layer of chromium oxide covering the entire surface of the sink. When the stainless steel sink is not properly maintained, contamination of the surface can occur. In rare instances, a contaminant can adhere to the surface of the sink forming rust on top of the surface but not the stainless steel itself. Also, water with a high concentration of iron may affect the appearance of the sink, making the sink appear brown and rusty. Drying the sink with a towel after each use will prevent such occurrence.

MYTHS ABOUT SCRATCHES ALL STAINLESS STEEL WILL SCRATCH if it is not handled properly. POZZO sinks are made of the industrial highest quality composition of 18/10 (18% Chromium, 10% Nickel) stainless steel which greatly increases the resistance to corrosion. With that being said, minor scratches will still occur and are normal. With proper cleaning, normal usage scratches will eventually blend into the overall finish of the sink over time.

NEVER • Use cleaning products which contain high chemical additives on the surface of the sink. • Use abrasive cleaning materials such as steel wool or metal brushes to clean your sink. • Use sulfuric or hydrochloric acid drain cleaner that will damage the sink’s surface. • Use your sink as a cutting board and handle gently when putting any sharp object in the sink. • Leave corrosive or rust prone materials in the sink. • Leave water spots or any other cookware in the sink for extended period of time. • Leave rubber dish mats, sponges or cleaning pads overnight in the sink. This may lead to staining, • discoloration or rusting of the sink’s surface. • Allow liquid soap or other household cleaning agents or bleach to sit on the surface of the sink. • Rub or scrub against the direction of the grain lines of the sink. • Use solvents or cleaning products that contain chlorine.

ALWAYS • Rinse the sink thoroughly and clean with a non-abrasive cleanser after each use. • Clean the sink of any mineral deposits at least once a week with a mild abrasive cleanser such as vinegar. Rub lightly with a soft cloth and warm water in the direction of the grain lines, followed by a thorough rinse. • Towel dry the sink after each use and clean the sink to prevent mineral deposits from forming. • Do routine cleaning with a mild cleanser. • Use a bottom grid or rinsing basket to protect the finish from scratches.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE To retain your sink’s original shine and brightness, rinse and dry your sink after each use. Ideally, the sink should be scoured once a week with a mild abrasive cleanser and warm water. Be sure to rub in the direction of the grain lines to avoid scratches. Routine proper maintenance will help remove mineral deposits and stubborn stains from the sink’s surface. Use a clean soft cloth and apply a small amount of baby oil evenly to the surface of the sink. Gently buff the sink surface to add brightness and shine to the sink. Some foods contain high concentration of salt. Such foods should not be allowed to sit dry on the sink’s surface. Rinse your sink thoroughly to ensure no food residue is left on the surface of the sink overnight.

WATER WITH HIGH IRON AND HIGH MINERAL CONTENT Rainwater travels through the ground and soil which brings iron to our water supply. The quality of your water can affect your sink’s surface. When water has a high concentration of iron, brown surface stains can form on the sink, giving it an appearance of rust. Thus, proper maintenance is required to protect the surface of the sink, especially when the sink is used in areas with a high concentration of iron in the water supply. If your water supply has a high concentration of minerals or your house has a water softener system installed, a white film may develop on the sink. We highly suggest you towel dry your sink after each use and clean on a weekly basis with a mild abrasive cleaner. For questions and comments, please contact us at: [email protected] 7

WARRANTY The POZZO sink you (herein also defined as the Original Buyer/End-User) have purchased from one of its authorized distributors is covered under the Lifetime Limited Warranty policy. The warranty protects your purchase against material defects. In the event a new sink replacement is warranted, POZZO reserves the right to perform a complete and thorough investigation, including but not limited to material defects and causes. If one of the defective causes which falls within the list is identified, the warranty will be voided. In the event an exact replacement is not available, POZZO reserved the right to replace the product with a similar model but comparable in value. THIS WARRANTY IS NON TRANSFERABLE. WARRANTY WILL BE VOIDED IF: • The product was purchased from an unauthorized dealer. • The contractor, service installer, or yourself failed to follow installation procedures. • The installation was performed not in accordance with local electrical, plumbing, and structural codes. • The product was not cared for per proper maintenance guidelines. • The product sustained damage as a result of excessive and aggressive use of abrasive chemicals/cleaners. • The product was subjected to abusive treatment such as placing, dropping, rubbing, or hammering against heavy objects. • Unauthorized modifications were made to the product. • Accidental occurrences as a result of fire, earthquake, flood, natural disaster, or acts of God. POZZO would like to inform you, as the Original Buyer/ End-User who files for a new replacement request, that certain aspects of this warranty does not cover the followings: • Transportation or shipping cost • Labor cost

• Travel time • Lost wages or profits • Home damages • Professional service fees (attorney, experts, etc.) • Investigation, analyses, report costs • Other Contingent Liabilities This warranty gives you specific legal rights, some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts. So the above limitation may not apply to you and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
